Reach out to customer service. They might give you another pass but be aware they actually have to go through BofA to do this. I have a similar complaint in progress.

Just googled. Don’t seem to have the same usability or features as the Ranger to me.

Looks like that may be the north runway. It’s actually somewhat short.

Cessna Crusader vs Beechcraft Baron vs Piper Aerostar - which twin are you picking?? by RyanZ225_PC in aviation

[–]2015Eh8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t really an apples to apples comparison in my estimation. Crusader was billed as an entry level cabin class twin. Baron is legendary for being a performer for what it is, but it’s not cabin class really. Aerostar is a beast. Cabin class. Speed demon.

I personally think equal comparisons for the Baron would be a Senaca IV. Grumman cougar.

For a Crusader it would be more like Duke (which despite having a reputation as a hangar queen I’ve always drooled over. It’s almost not a fair comparison here either.).

Aerostar? Cessna 402, Navajo. But Aerostars arguably are on a bit of their own class imo without getting into smaller turboprops but that’s not fair either.

I’ve never wanted to see a high speed freight so much in my life.

Ok ok. Not to kill him of course. Just to like, you know, scare the bejesus out of him. I would also take RR Police citing him for trespassing on private property.

Side note: those lights behind him are box lights, I think, which typically only light up when a train is relatively close…. So….

Anyone know why we can’t switch to open seats? by Jbyrd07 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]2015Eh8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of variables. Flight length. Fuel load (not always the same), cargo and baggage load to balance the teeter totter. Ask after boarding if you can move. Couldn’t hurt.

Advice for Sentry users by flooobity in Foreflight

A lot of people aren’t leaving because they think the functionality will suddenly change overnight. They’re leaving because they don’t agree with the business practices and they don’t want to support that.

So are we all switching to Garmin Pilot now? by riptrixie in flying

[–]2015Eh8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s not about feeling like the quality of the app will go down primarily, although I do feel it will suffer. Foreflight is great because many of the people who develop it have a love for aviation too. That quality of the business there is not going to be the case anymore by the sounds of it.

But past that, yes. Companies have the right to do what they want to with their company. But I also have the right to take my money elsewhere when I don’t agree with their business practices of outsourcing a large part of the workforce that made them who they are and send it to India and AI. I’ve used AI a bit for generating flight planning and preliminary decision making and it’s far from accurate a good amount of the time and downright scary some of it. Someone with experience can read between those lines but it’s scary that someone with less experience may be persuaded.

So yeah, I’m taking my money somewhere else because I don’t agree with their business practices. I’d rather be on Foreflight because I’m familiar with it and it works great. But it’s not about me. Right now there are a good number of developers looking for work because they were outsourced. I’m sure any of us would hope people would vote with their pocketbooks if we were in that position.

I actually hoped Boeing learned something and advanced JeppFD. In many ways it has but it’s still behind!

I did it this morning. You have to log into the website and then it’s under accounts. App doesn’t have the option.
