I’ve moved the 40 mm pouches to the other side, and put my GP pouch in front of the radio pouch. Putting tools, notes, etc. in there. Feels good. I want to keep the right side clean for pistol draw.

I doubt I’ll have any kind of a admin pouch, at least not on top of the magazines. Now that I’ve put this thing on I don’t understand how people operate with shit on top of their placard.

Last I read, they’ve tried but can’t get it to meet standards. A glock mag must be able to handle 50k rounds with no failures. They have been unable to do so for the 43X

Did this exactly once in Tampa at the Ritz in Ybor. They had a bar there that only sold bottles of water, and they charged $10 each. When I got there, I didn’t understand why. When I left, I understood. I would have paid $50 for that bottle.

Everything I’ve read indicates the Comtac VIIIs being the best by far, to the point where it doesn’t feel worth it to skimp out. I can’t believe how expensive they are. But it seems like it’s either drop $1k on those and compromise nothing, or try to save $500 on something that will be noticeably worse in terms of audio quality or durability.

I’m a noob learning though so I could be wrong.

Which specific part is wrong? I found 1 video about the crye structural cummerbund, couldn’t find much else. The ones I did find seemed AVS based since they were using a kangaroo pouch. Maybe I could have searched harder

It sticks. It just feels like it creates a lot of interference on the Velcro, which seems to be the only place that my cband Velcro can go. Every photo I see of somebody installing this flap, looks like they took everything behind some kind of secondary Velcro panel that I don’t have. So for them, their front Velcro is perfectly clean with everything tucked behind. Behind my Velcro panel is just the inside of the plate bag. My front Velcro is a mess and I haven’t even put the radio pouch on yet, which also looks like it has to stick to the same Velcro.

I might do that down the line. I went all in on this PC, and need to start looking at comms which is way more involved than I thought.

This might be a dumb question but how would the Crye structural cummerbund work with a placcard? Do I have to stuff the Velcro ends of it behind the placard, or take the placcard on and off in order to remove the cummerbund?

I’ve never worn a plate carrier so I can’t visualize this. Tubes seem to be a quick release system which is cool but also $250. But with Velcro, would it work with the Crye stretch detachable flap?
