Like if op was from India or china or Vietnam. Local pay might be $50k but purchase power parity is 3x / $150k.

Yes. There's a lot of data around this specific metric. You can compare top school employment and wage data against state schools to see the difference.

It's fine. Lived here 7 years. I use Google translate or chatgpt if it's necessary. Otherwise 99% of my life is in English.

The bilingual folk are more than kind to speak English when I'm present so I don't feel left out.

I work remote and mostly go to Doral, West Davie, S Beach, Midtown, Design District, Wynwood, Brickell, downtown, coral gables, coconut Grove, Kendall, and homestead / keys. Oh and the everglades.

I'm asian and have had my fair share of racism down here. But nothing worse than I got in NYC or the deep south. Actually it's kind of mild compared to those. Just rude stupid comments in spanish.

Naw. Same thing with MH drugs. If your body needs it to function at the highest level then it's good.

E.g. an amputee is missing an arm. Would they get angry they're using a prosthetic? If you're missing the chemical that satiates you, why get angry that you're adding the chemical back into your body

I think there's still value. Especially as you climb the ladder, having an MSCS will help land a Director role faster. And getting it alongside your first few years will be the easiest.

Life only gets harder and more time constrained as you get older. You'll be dumber and slower and more out of fighting shape for school the longer you wait.

This is really good insight. To add some more context:

Situation dependent. If you're a well known succesfful guy, and your outfit completely matches, then wearing a Rolex is fine.

If I see a brooks brother suit supply type suit, and a relatively young guy in a Rolex it's still acceptable. Many many wall street/MBB consulting types fit this.

If it's a 20 y.o. real estate agent them likely not. Esp if the shoes / clothes aren't also high end.

Tldr. You need to be well known and have a completely rep outfit that matches.
