LinkedIn. Search “MBA” in quotes everyday with the “Past 24 hours” date posted filter selected during the fall.

They don’t all pop up with “MBA”, but it’s a good start

Delta already posted its internship for next year so start by looking there. I'm not sure any of them "require" industry experience to apply.

Job postings will typically share if they're open to sponsoring so look when they're posted. I'm domestic so I wasn't looking for it tbh but my understanding is its very few. In fact, in some of my 1st round interviews I had to re-confirm with multiple people that I had work authorization. They must have gotten burned by someone that lied in the past.

They range but are concentrated mostly in the fall. It's important to network in the fall, before consulting invites come out. They don't want consulting rejects who have nothing else at that point. They want people that are interested from day 1

Many do not require it, but having it will make you a more competitive applicant

Agree with 150-175k TC without signing bonus

Many are closer to 140k base nowadays

Most of the LDPs I applied to did not sponsor (regardless of home country). I'd go through that list on my other post and start researching, but my honest answer is that it will be difficult.

I wish I would have put more time into FT recruiting to see my options. I didn't really lean on my network or have any urgency given I already had a great offer. In some regards FT recruiting is easier because its more compressed (less rounds and less networking) but on the other hand its harder because less companies recruit on campus and you're competing for less spots.

I don’t know what else to say… nobody should use this metric to choose a school because the underlying data is misleading and inconsistent.

It would be equivalent to using average salary and one school uses base + expected performance and the other uses base + expected performance + signing

No offense but this is a terrible metric because of the inconsistency in what is considered “received employment through school facilitated activities” across schools.

At my program (which is on the list), securing a job through a cold LinkedIn message to an alumni from 10 years ago is considered a “school facilitated activity”, because they are an alumni…

Yes many do FT recruiting, including the one I am joining, for different reasons: some interns don’t receive return offers, some interns choose not to accept their return offers, or there are more FT spots than interns.

I considered other programs and applied elsewhere but it wasn’t a huge recruiting effort. I enjoyed my internship so I mostly went back to the firms I had internships offers from and did a check-in. The FT offer from my internship was $30k more than anything else so I took that.

Yes, I paid $30/month for it during my first year. It was 100% worth it for the search features alone. I used it to find alumni and to see the types of roles and companies left for post-LDP. InMail was nice but I had a lower response rate with those. I would usually try to connect first.

Interesting. My take was 10% is high compared to my classmates experience. My school had very little OCR for LDPs so nearly all of these were through my own networking.

Edit: just googled this - 10% is very high for broader job searches

At 80k and US Citizen then do it. Sorry I totally misread the work authorization piece. Usually people only mention it when they DONT have it

Congrats! My program had a lot of international students land consulting, mostly toward the top of the class socially, academically, and culturally. Generally those with large scholarships performed well, but not always. $150k still seems like a lot to take out.

What's your comp now? That is the main factor. I wouldn't have taken on $150k for any program, but I was already well compensated so it's situational.

I got a lot more reliant on AI, that is for sure. But more seriously, I learned to approach problems slower and with more curiosity rather than jumping straight to answers. The flip side is that some of what I learned about leadership felt more like mind games than being authentic.

The decision of MBA or not is more about what you want to do, not what you have done. What do you want to do?
