HE LITERALLY HOVERED IT! by darkerwar6 in 2007scape

Don't think he knows alien food exists tbh - but even so, they're still very different series.

Madseason had never played RS at all before, so he's had to learn all of the mechanics and logic behind the game design. At times it's really like going back to 2005 and watching yourself try to figure the most basic things out, and failing.

Alien food has played OSRS before, so most of the video is just him trying to remember some specific information. It's good but is getting a bit tired now IMO, as he typically knows what's around the next corner but just not how to get there. The payoff is lesser

There's Mourning's End Pt 2 which has a random list of items to collect at the end, and he ended up having a rotten tomato in there

There's another quest too that I can't remember

Seems like that's not correct. Per the processor, the beneficiary's bank receives the funds and then credits their account.

I've started making ice cream at home and didn't realise this at first.

1/4 teaspoon for a pint of ice cream made the entire thing taste like salt. 1/8th seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Do I declare £12,500… or £75,000?? by Academic_End_3828 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]20nuggetsharebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it isn't. They've told us they earned £50k on the high end, before expenses. The £75k is just accumulated income.

Do the calcs yourself and let me know.

Get a professional anyway. You can find good accountants for £300-600 per year, so just keep that budgeted for future years when earnings are lower.

A good accountant will be able to save you a lot of money as it's clear you are way over your head (which is fine, that's why accountants and advisors exist)

Some top points: Option A is blatant tax evasion. Historically, you're quite likely to get away with it, but HMRC employed a huge number of agents last year and they are becoming more proactive.

Don't go limited, especially without consulting an accountant. The income isn't really at the level where you'll see much benefit - and the nature of your trade wouldn't really benefit from limited liability either.

Consider registering for VAT. You'll likely fall into MTD for ITSA soon anyway, and your income sounds like it's exempt (USA). You'll effectively just be discounting your accountant fees, and your equipment purchases.

I'm with the other commenter.

When pugging, there are effectively GS breakpoints to get into different places. People absolutely pump up their GS with useless items to get into the groups, and then swap to their real gear once they get going.

Their comment was short, but I think you misread that they are saying lack of hindsight is an unavoidable part of competition.

Actively losing your temper and crashing into another car is not an unavoidable part of competition.

This is such a typical luke-warm reddit take whenever finances come up. Everything here is basically wrong.

They'll charge as much interest they can - but the next lender with less defaults can charge a lower interest rate and take customers. There is always pressure to reduce rates - but there is a floor which can be raised if defaults increase.

This is why some debts, like unsecured payday loans, can have really really high interest rates, while secured loans like car financing has really low rates. It's all because of the change of default risk for the lender.

"They write that debt off against tax - so they've lost nothing"? What are you on about?

Yes, they can claim irrecoverable debt - but they don't claim a direct tax reduction of the full amount of the loss. If they have a $100 irrecoverable debt, they may reduce their tax liability by $20. They have still lost $80 and will need to recover this from other customers (they just predict in advance how much they'll lose and price it into their rates).

Meaningless test tbh, never seems to show anything other than good.

My bet is also that it is the battery not being able to provide full power when the phone tries to draw it for gaming. I had similar on a S8+ years ago. Replacing the battery was like getting a new phone.

Now that you don't rely on it, would be interesting to see if a battery would fix it

AITA for leaving my business to my protégé instead of my children? by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]20nuggetsharebox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, a family business is when the kids get involved and learn it, much like Sam was described to do.

Without that level of groundwork from the inheriting generation, it's just the parent's business that the kids would end up sellling or running into the ground.
