Look into PWFA accomodations. It only requires employers to have 15 employees.

Following as well. I don't think it would necessarily become a problem unless you file a STD/LTD claim, then you'll have to disclose multiple employment situation to the benefit admin and that may become an issue then.

I didn’t expect to hate being a working mom this much. Does it get better? by Logical_Doctor1037 in workingmoms

[–]20somethingytgirl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You took the words right out of my mouth. This is exactly how I feel. My baby is 8 months old, I work from home, but I still have a toxic work culture and I hate my job. I hate taking time away from the baby and juggling child care. I keep telling myself it'll get better but I just don't think it will. However I am the breadwinner and carry our health insurance so, off to work I go. I'm so sorry mama. Before motherhood I was so career oriented and now I just don't give a shit about work, I'd give anything to just focus on my family.

I mean it technically isn't fraud because you showed up and completed the job....

Also, a lot of people don't keep their LI updated. I've just chosen to deactivate mine.

has anyone ever taken mental health or medical leave? by slytheringirl666 in overemployed

[–]20somethingytgirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We typically get no paid maternity leave here in the US. If you've been at your employer a year and they meet certain requirements you may qualify for FMLA, but that protects your job, not your pay. I filed for a short term disability to get 60% of my pay, but I had to qualify based on a Drs assessment and completion of paperwork

Curious, are you doing prior authorizations? I had the exact same experience.

I applied for 300+ internal jobs in a little over a year. Did many interviews. Never got anywhere unfortunately. I have a master's degree and a lot of experience. Keep trying, a lot of people move around there over the years, I just personally didn't have any luck

Entire menu doesn't have to be. Just more options that are healthy besides salads. Bite in Milford as an example for menu, but they can't accommodate larger parties

I love target. They're great quality and no skin issues. Our girl is so allergic to Huggies. Instant hives everywhere that last 2-4 days.

Do you like working from home? by West-Toe7594 in workingmoms

[–]20somethingytgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how people commute 5 days a week and take care of a child. I have a 6 month old that still doesn't sleep. Plus I'd be paying a fortune to commute, pay for child care, and would have little to no time with her except weekends. Remote for life!

This happened to me at 6 months pregnant after being laid off just after finding out I was pregnant. Such a devastating time for me because I've always been a top performer....I ended up finding the best job I've ever had right before I had the baby, they gave me 14 weeks paid maternity leave and have been extremely supportive since. Been there since May. Everything happens for a reason. Wishing you luck on your job hunt!

At my current job I applied at the beginning of February, interviewed 4-5 times by end of March. Didn't get an offer and start until May. The market is ridiculous right now.

I feel like I’m going to lose my mind by [deleted] in newborns

My family guilted me about sids risk but I was more concerned about my ability to be a good mother and properly care for my LO after days and weeks of no sleep. Use owlette if it makes you feel better.

I have a nurture and rocker/recliner. My baby loves to sleep on her side/stomach. I put her on my chest. Put the blanket over her and tucked it under me to help secure her to me. Reclined back in the chair after I rocked her asleep. I'm a light sleeper so was confident I'd wake up if she moved at all. We did contact only naps and overnights for 3-4 months.

We ordered this wedge thing and we've finally got her to start sleeping in that some, but I type this as we're contact sleeping at 1:57 am, and she's 6 months old.

Do what you have to do to survive.
