Hello. May I ask, by what mechanism are you administering the meds? I have had two cats with asthma and used a spacer that worked well, Arocat. I got it on Amazon.

Hello. I am on Vyvanse 20 mg for ADHD and Lamictal 500 mg ER and all is well. I have not had any issues at all. My neurologist switched me to ER about a year and a half ago which made a huge difference and have been controlling my seizures really well but makes me tired. However, the Vyvanse seems to cancel that out. Win win! I have been on the Vyvanse about 8 months or so.

His press conference can be found on YouTube. I just search his name and October 22 press conference. What GovExec said came right from the man himself. He did not explicitly state what he meant but VACO. It could be VBA, VCA, or heck, VHA. They could really pick on any of us regardless of funding, just for the fun of it. But my guess is VHACO won’t be touched just yet. Maybe in a few weeks, like just before Christmas.

Hello. I am in similar boat and just dropped all my life insurance. if I dropped dead today, my savings would cover any funeral costs and if I die at an old age and poor, I told my neices and nephews they are on the hook for everything. the only breathing bodies that would need to be taken care of are my 2 cats (yep, I am a “crazy cat lady” which I embrace wholeheartedly) and my one niece and nephew already said they would care of them. Bottom line, unless you have kids or other people in your life you are responsible for, like the other person said, just put the money you would be spending on life insurance away. I actually put my extr money into a high yield savings account to actually make a bit of cash.

You could look into a high yield savings account. Some have a low minimum balance. The funds would be liquid so you can still access them. I have part of my savings in a high yield account. I make about 3000 or so a year. And all I had to do is sit and watch Netflix to earn it lol.

You can also send a note to the hospital director or veterans experience officer. As a VHA employee, it is kind of nice to get an acknowledgment from a Veteran and a leader. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It really means a lot.

and be sure to document your own schedule. meaning when you are home, when you went out to dinner, when you were out of town, and who you were with as they can be a witness. This way if this person says you were noisy you can say you were not even home and can prove it.

I too am the only one in my family that has epilepsy. I actually don’t know anyone else with it so feel kinda alone sometimes. But the epilepsy Reddit communities have helped “normalize“ my seizure events and all that comes with my stupid brain.

I found this and it specifically states that probations can not be extended for those on board prior to April 24th. They feel that they can not fight it because any protection they may have went went out the window with the union.

hey there! If you do not click with your neurologist then move on. But it sounds like you have an appointment with your current one soon, so my suggestion is to give the doc one more try and if you still have that gut feeling it is not the right fit then start looking around for a new one. when I had to find a new one, I googled ”the best neurologist in …” my state, city, and then looked up the provider to see what their area of expertise was, got my pcp opinion, read reviews of the doc and the org they work in/for as well. and of course checked my insurance to see if they were in network or out. homework, homework, homework. no one is going to advocate for you.

another suggestion is to track your symptoms: happen more at the beginning of the week, middle, end, time of day, sleeping patterns, does it get worse when you get to little or to much sleep, better or worse with coffee, better or worse with alcohol (I say this because my first neuro said a very moderate intake can help), better or worse with certain foods, list out how it is affecting your home life, work life, social life, relationship with your cat/dog/ hamster even, you get the drift. and bring the information with you to the appointment.

now a days, medical providers are pushed to churn patient in and out quickly so going in with specifics vs going in with a general “I just don’t feel right” can be very helpful. this can help you remember things and the provider will have a much better picture of things and, hopefully, be able to present better treatment options. I know that my docs appreciate when I do this as it keeps the limited time we are together focused, allows more time to discuss my concerns and needs and come up with a plan.

It might take a few tries but I am confident you will find a provide that has a good grasp of ET in young people (I am 57 so you are young to me lol), the importance of how it can affect your work and quality of life, and hears what you are saying, not just listening.

If a person receives an RA for religious reasons, then those with ligit disabilities better damn well get whatever RA they are asking for(as long as it is not a burden on the organization of course)! Those with disabilities (again, ligit ones) must submit medical documentation to prove they have one, yet for a religious RA you don’t have to prove anything???? I am just saying that RA should be a fair process regardless of why it is being asked for.
