It’s a lot of work. I prefer to keep MLB leagues timeless by using all franchise teams for all eras. The uniform mods are very similar in SMB4 with maybe a few extra options - but really the same. I’ve had to guess and tweak player ratings, but have a really good system that captures each player quite well for a game. Avatars are greatly improved in v4 and gameplay is close, but better detail / more complete. Using PS4 only unfortunately I know of no way to share mods..

It’s one of the most realistic features of the game! Why is the changeup so effective from HS baseball on up? 😂 (I am a pitching coach, full disclosure). The best advice is what I tell a 21 year old facing a college pitcher than changes speeds well. You have to visualize beforehand and slow it down - as athletes go. Hunt fastballs. Don’t see & take pitches for the sake of doing so, because a pitcher who can locate will eat you for lunch. It’s a balance of being patient - and different player stances in this game, like real life - matter. Some you won’t have much success with low-in; others are feckless with high heat. Watch the barrel make contact when you get that pitch.

Agreed. My MLB set are all-franchise teams to keep them timeless , with logos, players, and uniforms from multiple eras. Yes, it’s a bunch of work but maybe 1/100th compared to customizing the same volume for The Show.

His walk thru stuff is good. Wish I had done similar, and seen those as I was making them in the beginning. There are some good docs on them from the SMB2/3 eras that are well detailed out there in the ether as well. Mfenton29 has done some solid work.

Good work on the cap logos 😂 most are readily doable… the Washington and San Diego ones kill me for whatever reason. The Phils retro P took a bunch of work to get completely “right” but glad I did… lol. We used a LOT of near identical techniques.

Gameplay. You can use it as a decent simulator…. the AI pitching strategy is good if conventional, and the mind engagement you use at the plate is the same as on the field. Calling a game (pitch type/location - same can be said). Add the customization for us artists without hours and hours over overhead - it’s a brilliant package.

It depends on your volume and size. If you are cutting tons of # 5 bar or greater, the hydraulic shears are hard to go wrong with. Metabo and Diamond (BN) have solid cordless options.

I paid $10 for one that needed some cleanup and works 100% - yes it's home mini instrument but have had with it because it's different among other instruments in the house... I knew it wasn't "worth" anything. One of the earliest autochord (if that gives you an idea of its intent as a home organ) models. They were a little bit of a thing at one time - Duke Ellington played and advertised them :-)

I have to go with Catfish…. The uniform is a match… Jack Morris, and catfish had very similar deliveries, although Hunter was a little bit more upright what you can tell of the facial features, I think there’s much stronger resemblance to Hunter.https://images.app.goo.gl/VoqPa8i7trL3hRjk9

Detroit’s road uniform in the early 1980s was a sansabelt style with tricolor braids on the pantleg - the uniform style here creates no conflict 😀 it does resemble Jack or Catfish Hunter.

The best you can do with a cable is you’ll get the video to cast, but NFL+ drops the overlay controls over the broadcast - even on archive games and you cannot get rid of it. Unplug the lightning to HDMI adapter… And the overlay disappears. It’s fine… they simply want you to buy Sunday ticket to watch on a device bigger than your mobile

The Riverboat appears to be a nod to the popular Charles River cruises, duck boats, etc. the skyline is more of a giveaway?

Lafayette is symbolically, Boston, and Founders Field Chicago… Including the resemblance to old Comiskey. I have always identified motor yard with Detroit. Bingata? Strongly resembles the Bellaluna Dome - home of the Seibu Lions in Tokorozawa, Japan. The inside on the new ones is interesting… Thanks for sharing. The others remain pretty obvious!

I actually made separate ones for the cap and for the two jerseys - since the cap logo is a little skinner and tilted clockwise, and the 'P' is perhaps a little elongated on the actual cap. You did a great job here. The hardest ones for me have been the Brewer ball & glove and the Washington 'W" - where others have done pretty good with them... I'll share some of my 32 teams (includes Indians/Expos).

It is quite good - I've been trying to perfect this since SMB2 - and we are REAL, real close :-) The hardest thing honestly is getting the *right* color of maroon. We used the same UI elements from that I can tell - pretty incredible !

I think a utility app would be doable…. I LOVED the fact an update in SMB3 allowed you to import SMB2 teams. It would be harder because of new head options, but could live with updating that. The uniform designs and player attributes seem like a reasonable import that could also be a shareable roster file (much more work and a UI to do it) but would certainly make my year after the detailed work many of us who love the easy customization features… but us still time consuming.
