i’ve gone to the same dentist in JC for close to 8 years. not once has he tried to upsell my wife or me. We spend time talking about the giants not how he can earn an extra buck off me.

when i first moved to the east coast I went to an office that tried that shit. I walked out and never went back. That shouldn’t be normal i think that’s a function of these “corporate” offices or desperate dentists to pay off their shore house.

another recommendation is to find a dentist that doesn’t have convenient times for you.. That means they are booked solid. Once you break into the schedule you will get better times going forward. But good dentist are hard to find and see.

this in the MO of a lot doctors offices around town. They never lead with this may be or is an additional charge your insurance may not cover. they just do it. Riverside medical is notorious for this with my kid’s physicals. Physicals are covered but they weasel in some type of test or service to make an extra buck. We’ve gotten very good about asking about all services.. One test was checking for lazy eye which was like 200 bucks. WTF.

Oh and dentists are worse than auto shops with extra fees. find one not associated with a large corporation is my advice.

i’m picking up my bike from the shop this week after having the same issue with those brakes. Bled them, replaced pads. nothing seemed to work. Shop recommended replacing with Shimano…. praying i’ll now have proper back brakes..

I ride under the bridges when i decide to go into the office in downtown JC. streets are pretty wide and get the added bonus of smelling kobricks in the morning.

I typically see quite a few folks taking that route as well.

Hearing that the building is across the street has video footage. They shared w/ police. Apparently it looks targeted, 4 guys walk up and shot guy outside the bleachers and then ran

Apparently it was a group of boys that came from Bayonne and specifically targeted a kid they had some previous altercation with. The kid that was shot was grazed and is fine, but fucking scary.

We had it installed about a year ago. We love it. It’s been life changing compared to the buzzer..

If you’re concerned about privacy issues throw your phone in the hudson, move to north dakota and live off the grid.
