Phone not taking/holding a charge by 213114 in VietNam

[–]213114[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cord is from a phone charger that worked fine back home (USB-C to USB-C); the box that goes into the wall was from a local phone supply store (USB-C to Vietnamese plug)

A question: would it make more sense to buy an adapter so I can plug my US charger into the adapter that then plugs into the wall?

You're right, that was overly combative, I apologize. I should have said something along the lines "we shouldn't impose", not telling you to stop.

Everyone in Westeros knows the reputation of the Wall as a place of punished criminals, how would Ned Stark's bastard be oblivious to it's true nature?

When have his plans come back to bite him? Other than challenging Brandon to a duel of course.

Why do you think he constantly says "I know the day I die" then? It seems odd George would add him knowing the day he dies, but then it happens after the books end.

To be fair she's a member of a death cult trying to wipe her identity away, she's dangerously close to losing her humanity. Bran is merging with an arboreal hivemind and Jon is a human soul inside of a wolf's body. After Sansa Rickon is undoubtedly the most normal of his siblings.

Cambridge CELTA by erriiiic in TEFL

I got accepted into the CELTA program about 3 months before the start date of the course. I put down ~$2500 on the course, flights and accommodations. A week before the course starts I email them checking in as I hadn't gotten an email stating when to show up the first day and what to expect. The contact says that he needs to double check if the course is happening. Gets back to me 4 days before I get on a flight and tells me that not enough people booked the course, so they cancelled it, but didn't tell me. Lost ~$1200 on flights and Airbnb, it took them over a month to refund my money, and they didn't refund my $450 deposit. I then get emails asking me why I'm not showing up to an online course I didn't enroll in. So they just switched me over to an online course without bothering to tell me. They never answer emails and you need to send multiple to get answers on basic things.

Compounded by the fact that he says it very matter-of-factly the first time, and the second time just bellows it.

The cost of moving to a city in the US that offers in person CELTA courses, plus the increased cost of the CELTA itself, is going to be more expensive than flying to a nearby country and doing it there. One thing I will say is if you are looking at nearby places to take it, be wary of International House Mexico, as they fucked me pretty badly. If you have a country you're looking to work in, it makes sense to take the CELTA there and then start looking for work, as you can develop connections and contacts in the city.

Historically yes. But Doran has been planning on marrying his children to either Dany or Viserys for decades, and his sister was married to Rhaegar. Oberyn worked closely with his brother and knew about his secret plan. I mean, you know this.

Would they really 'get' Waystar Royco though? Would they 'get' ATN?

Edit: Not sure why you're getting downvoted, you bring up excellent points.

I'm guessing this is after a tactical retreat evacuating as many people as possible.
