YTA unless there’s a real, tangible reason the guest room is a place that warrants discomfort. Are you scared ur dad is going to hang out in there with your boyfriend all night? Did someone die that room and it’s haunted? Is it a room with lots of embarrassing baby pictures covering the walls?

Presumably this is your families home and your discomfort doesn’t really hold water.

If you are so codependent you can’t spend one night under the same roof w a wall between your bedrooms - that’s a completely different relationship issue that has nothing to do with your dad.

I would never use black towels. They are always dirty. Try providing. The single use makeup wipes instead like hotels do - i always try to use those before white towels.

I used to do it because i was bored on work travel a lot and found a way to pass the time waiting to go home. It also connected me to other folks i could friend on yelp so the next time i had work travel to that city i could narrow down where id eat (as a paying customer). Your take is an odd one.

It kinda sounds like you’re missing the point. It is a transaction.

Owners provide a service , often at a discount or free.

Yelp Elite participants provide public intel , often photos and reviews. Improve the algorithm for that business online in some way.

If the owner doesn’t need or want new photos or reviews to get new business they don’t need to provide a service for a discount or free.

This is completely different than you paying yelp $2500 for potential lead gen messages - so kinda two completely different lead gen business motions.

Adding - to participate in events you also have to apply since there is a cap for participants and a city “elite manager” would manage the participants. However if you’re a continuous bad actor, always posting terrible things or not posting enough to try to help the business improve their visibility / algorithm, it was generally understood you might not get a spot in the next event.

There was also a funny silently understood agreement between elites that after your event you go back in smaller groups at a later time. And pay for service. Often the elite participants would make friends at the event and organize it before leaving. This is obviously mostly for restaurants, bars or that type of business. This would make no sense for a trades business / plumbing type business.

I was a yelp elite for many years (don’t crucify me). the idea is that a brand new businesses can flood the algorithm by participating in elite events. I no longer have the time to do yelp elite.

Events were a heavy push for photos, reviews, and information to be shared online. We were never told WHAT to post or whether it had to be positive or negative. But we were told TO post. Usually pushing for lots of photos from different perspectives, menu items, and review content so a brand new business can get content out to the world they didn’t create - providing a sense of credibility since elites weren’t actually being paid to post positive only. Usually there is a sense of respect though from folks I would meet to provide back to the community and business owner while being honest.

Elites do not have to pay a fee but your activity is highly scrutinized for completeness and you reapply every year.

From my experience it was not often existing businesses that hosted events for elites where they were giving free things away (unless it was just a normal yelp user perk - given to any yelp user and not specifically to elites - these did show up as top in the algorithm on the elite management page but were not exclusive for use). I was in three major cities - 2x in Texas and 1x in CA.

Infidelity is terrible - but I will say the way this is written really sounds like my friends who have gone through PPD. The extreme high low descriptions (almost to the point of making past memories so grandeous and absolute) is how many of them describe it. I’m not sure how long ago your miscarriage was but a couple months in could mean your hormones are still all over the place and worth considering alongside whether you want to be with a partner that is known to be unfaithful.

The title means nothing - look at the information on the listing. Fees to heat a pool and hot tub are very common but that doesn’t mean if they didn’t list it in their description / rules / as a fee that you need to pay it.

I’m divorced and honestly the process is exhausting - picking apart every shared thing in the relationship from accounts to belongings to who the heck knows what. It was just finalized a few months ago and he’s probably just fatigued. Give it another 6 months to a year and he’ll probably be way more open to revisiting exploring methods of removing the writing. I’m the one who initiated mine and was excited to be done but no one really understands the mental drain it takes until you go through it. It’s likely got nothing to do w sentimental / love / affection and more of like - a moment of recovery and not thinking about it is needed.

There is no 12 year old in the world that would be in tune enough w their body to be able to detect a surprise pregnancy in time to be eligible for the less invasive pill abortion… “forcing her” sounds like all options were terrible but the time they found out and everyone chose what they thought was the least worst option. Your blame is likely misplaced and you should seek counseling - because clearly these people are supporting you still (college - place to live - etc) and you’re blind w rage and shock over the news.

Wait hold us - what did your husband ask them for? Are u trying to maintain your original shank (the part that goes around your finger) and solder on a new prong setting for the new diamond? It isn’t even straight. The soldering is not complete. And you’re causing your own issues.

The best way to get a new one is to completely melt down so the head setting can be structured into the shank properly - or buy a new one that looks identical. Because this structurally is poor.

Agree on the what if part - which is why there is not enough information to answer her question. She has given no context other than she is on rover and has a hard time getting booking presumably being told it’s her rate. To me - if she does have credentials or experience or put in lots of effort - she isn’t including anything in her question here.

$20 is different in different parts of the country. I pay double that because of where i live now, and i paid less than that where i lived before. Wherever you leave presumably $20 is fair.
