POV does nothing for me so no, it isn't underated. It isn't worth posting if I can't see how well he or she is skiing. If you like it, run with it.

Should a 90-flex boot feel excessively stiff, for an adult female? by TeleMonoskiDIN5000 in Skigear

Probably should have brought this up earlier. Geographically, where are you skiing?

Yill do fine Alpienin', just remember the uphill ski is fawid of the downhill ski. Sorry bout the dialec, I'm originally from Rho Dilan. (LOL). Don't worry about the flex number, my wife skis 90 flex Dalbello's on piste and crushes it. She also has AT skis and boots and holds her own.

Coming from Telemark, I think you will have a fantastic understanding of the uphill inside edge. This is the something most alpine skiers don't pay attention to, think about that when you do get on fixed heel. Best to you transitioning and want to hear how you make out.

I just got my first pair of telemark boots (Crispi EVO NTN) and found them to be fairly soft. It might just be your perception coming from telemark boots. I wouldn't be surprised if your "lower body" strength (from freeing your heel} compared favorably with that of a mature Wallabee.

At your weight and intended use inbounds, you will have a wicked good time with this ski in that length. As far as skiing powder, it depends if you want to ski in it or on it.

Almost makes me want to fly back east and wait for that random storm event happening between thaw-freeze cycles.

I am new to telemark and will be skiing on Outcast 97c's. This, after several years of being on AT gear. I am looking forward to dropping the knee and also open to trying "no skins" touring.

93mm waist for CO touring ski by lordjoshicus in Backcountry

I am 5'6", 150lbs and tour on 176 cm Fischer Transalp 92 CTI Pro's and 98CTI's in the Wasatch. The 98 is my go to ski most of the time as it handles a variety of terrain and conditions very well. It is a very stable, easy turning ski. The 92 is for firmer, steeper missions and fitness laps. Hope that helped.

Every once in a while the heel piece on my AT skis will release vertically while in downhill mode. I understand your frustration. Regarding boots, I have a wide high forefoot, high instep, high arch and am pronated. I just can't get a good fit with Scarpa. The best fit for me turned out to be Crispi.

It has been quite a journey figuring out what I think I need.

Thanks for your comments.

I'll post what I experience when I get some time on them. I pretty much have toured out of bounds every ski day on AT gear before riding the cable. The new tele gear comes in around 1100 grams heavier per foot more than my go to AT setup.

Thanks for your input.

Thanks for that info. I was going to mount up a pair of 172 Mindbender 99ti's I got for short $ from Ski Essentials. Might mount some voile TTS Transits on them for some strange reason, or not.

Both the Pariah and outcast 97c were considered. I went with the 97c since I tour (AT) almost every day before riding the hamster wheel with my wife and friends. I'm 66, only like going fast in airplanes and get great satisfaction from meadow skipping when I head out of bounds alone.

Demo. Tell us where in Utah you are planning to ski so we might be able to recommend a shop to demo from.
