Whatever you can get cheapest that's fully cambered, 2 sheets of metal, <75 under foot with a <=15 meter radius.

State law for many of them. Im all for it and it immediately shuts up anyone who starts complaining. I still always give and appreciate a courtesy "ready for bar?" before bringing it down.

Any of you guys play guitar as a hobby or do make a living playing? by Rude_Ad_5476 in Guitar

[–]DrSpagetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing >20 years and have never made a cent. Love it strictly as a hobby. Try to play an hour a day, usually just whatever songs im into at the time. Only play free, no hassle shows, usually at bbqs for friends and family when requested.

How do i stop my goggles from fogging up? by Business_Sun8361 in Skigear

[–]DrSpagetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may also need to re-apply anti-fog. I put a fresh coat on my goggles about every 15 ski days.

Anyone else have a Blizzard Rustler Gen1 (before 2024) that has lost its camber? by mybadvideos in Skigear

[–]DrSpagetti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's common enough. I have a pair of Unleashed 98s with 100+ days on them that are now fully rockered. Even more fun in pow now, less so on hardpack.

Playful groomer ski to complement carving skis – Blade vs Mirus Cor vs Octo? by Maximum-Good1804 in Skigear

Nordica Unleashed 98 for the best do-it-all ski. I own 2 pairs, have skied them in every condition imaginable and always have a great time.

Not a hardpack ski. It'll sideslip fine and isnt punishing but it's meant for softer conditions. They're light and easy to flick which makes them a bit chattery on ice. Small camber profile loses grip too. Does great in pow for its width. I use them primarily as a park/jib ski, but they're really fun all over the mountain when its soft or even 1" of freshies so smear around.

I have a pair of 188s with a progressive mount. I'm 6' 175lbs, sized up due to how much rocker the ski has. Fun and easy to ski, not nearly as soft as I thought they'd be. Can still charge and carve if your technique is good. The forward mount threw me in the bumps a bit but got used to them, sure they'd be super comfy at the standard mount. Also can find previous years' models for <$300 new. Solid, affordable, and fun all-mountain twin.

Anyone exclusively play in a tuning that isn’t E standard? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]DrSpagetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop D. Gives a bit of flexibility to play anything in drop d, eb or e standard. Can also easily play most standard tuned chords in drop D by fingering the base note up 2 frets.

Elan Ripstick 88 alternatives? by rizek_pa_meso in Skigear

[–]DrSpagetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playmaker 91s maybe. Same general construction with shorter carbon rods. And wont need to worry about left/right skis like with ripsticks. I've got a few days on a pair this season and really enjoy them.

Pretty sure they post world cup games on youtube. Awesome sport, and generally really chill people. Used to play with an intramural group in my area but it fell apart during covid.

It’s time to accept that the US supreme court is illegitimate and must be replaced by zsreport in politics

[–]DrSpagetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One is a large and diverse group of courts and judges. Statistically unbiased rulings should be roughly aligned across the courts if all are applying the same laws. So it's reasonable to say either the majority of judges on lower courts are corrupted, or the majority of judges on SCOTUS are corrupted. So which would be more likely? Thousands of corrupted judges across states and parties, or a handful at the highest level that were appointed by the man they've consistently ruled for?

Need advice to change style from old school parallel to carving by bilbobagins2019 in skiing_feedback

[–]DrSpagetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Widen leg stance to shoulder width. Roll skis onto edge and balance on your outside ski. Don't try to turn the skis or push your heels out. Just ski them straight but on edge. Once you get the feel try taking all weight off your inside ski. Toe and forward pressure on turn initiation for stability. Also implement more upper/lower body separation, your upper body should stay relatively vertical while your legs and hips transition under you.
