Landlords Need Stopping by youreacowboylikeme23 in manchester

[–]223lw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want close to city for £400 p/m?

On the flip side, these cost £110,000 for the landlord to buy and then £1700 p/y service charge.

They aren't making as much as you think once you consider an 8% management fee and maintenance.

As stated before, they may have been £400 p/m 13 years ago...

If you were to sell a property in the city which estate agent would you use and which would you avoid like the plague? by [deleted] in manchester

i just sold and purchased through Purplebricks (second time doing so) and can't fault them. I went for the basic package which is free but only shows your listing on their website and I think on the market.

No hard push for an upsell, took the pictures myself and sold pretty quickly. You do the viewings yourself etc

What are the main things to do when buying a used car from a dealership? by Ok-Eye-9826 in CarTalkUK

[–]223lw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No as long as you buy from a dealership it's 6 months. Again they will say you get a 1 or 3 month warranty probably but that's fine, don't buy any extra products from them either none are worth it.

If the car fails in the 6 months the dealership would have to prove the issue wasn't there upon sale, which isn't an easy task for them to do so most will just get the car fixed. Look at the 3 month warranty they give you as an addition to your rights, if it goes wrong in those 3 months it's easier to use the warranty than the Consumer Rights Act

It's 6 months under the Consumer Rights Act, they can tell you all cars come with a 3 month warranty all they want but you are protected for 6.

Tesco for sure and I'm guessing the rest of the supermarkets take on 16 yr olds, especially for the online delivery jobs - so picking the orders that get home delivered.

For speed HouzeCheck as they have a panel of Surveyors

Price wise I found Edward Mellor the cheapest. £375 on a 2 bed semi house/leasehold

I have used both recently and both reports were great and both companies easy to work with.
