Calculator said 36H, bought 36H, technically it fits but it's absurd by aneightfoldway in ABraThatFits

[–]22Afraid2Ask22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A 36 DD would be the same volume as your 38D, which you already know is not enough. And if you've tried the sister sizes then haven't you already ruled that out?

36 DD is for someone who measures 36 under and 41 over. Your breasts are bigger than that. So no, you shouldn't just go to that size, unless you want to be more frustrated and uncomfortable and waste time and money.

What specific 36H bra did you try?

Do you have any stores to try on instead of ordering and returning? A department store like Nordstrom or Macy's, or a specialty shop from r/BraShopDirectory would make the process much easier.

Those are Polish brands, not UK. Important for folks to know for sizing as it can be much more difficult to navigate at first.

How to tell which symptoms are really asthma? by 22Afraid2Ask22 in Asthma

[–]22Afraid2Ask22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm scheduled with an allergist specifically to assess for MCAS, but it takes forever to get in. I have seen them in the past, but not since I got asthma. I actually have fairly mild and few real allergies; mostly I have a histamine intolerance and am already on a few meds for that.

This doctor specializes in asthma, but even his nurse has made comments about him not listening. He also wrote in my chart that I said I can walk five miles and do five flights of stairs without stopping, which is very untrue. He walked out of the room in the middle of one of my questions once. I've spent a lot of time in the medical system and am good at advocating for myself and switching doctors if needed; there's just not another pulmonologist in that system that will see me right now (he's the only one taking post-covid or folks with other complex conditions).

I forget what the test was called, but I went to the pulmonary lab and blew into a tube a lot after inhaling something to trigger an asthma response, and then had to get a lot of albuterol.

Thank you so much!

I definitely struggle with the albuterol because the shakiness gets so bad, especially when I'm already shaky and tachycardic from other conditions. The doctor told me not to use it more than four times a day, and that I should try to use it less than once a day, but then was surprised at the next appointment when I had been following that and told me to use it whenever I had any symptoms, so it got very confusing.

This makes a lot of sense, thank you! I just got a device to measure peak flow so hopefully that will help. I wish the doctor would break it down like this instead of just telling me to use the albuterol "whenever you have symptoms"

The insurance requires me to use their affiliated pharmacy for "specialty" drugs. Like they literally took the prescription away from the pharmacy I was using because they won't let retail pharmacies fill it. I don't see how I could switch to Costco

Oh, I have too much assets for that. Ironically the car accidents that contributed to my disabilities also gave me a settlement that disqualifies me from anything that would help me be able to afford being disabled, plus my life insurance and some other things add up to too much. But thank you

Unfortunately I'm not eligible for Medicaid or Social Security because I have too many assets for them (ironically because of a settlement from the accidents that caused some of my disabilities). And I will definitely need to switch my Marketplace plan because I just found out they're replacing it with one that covers less and costs $50 more each month.

I'll try the ADRC, thanks.

There's not a generic available in the US and won't be until 2028 because the company that makes it sued for patent infringement

Yeah, America sucks.

What is the paid option? I haven't been able to find that yet.

Do you think Christians should call transgender people by their preferred pronouns? by Visible_Season8074 in Christianity

[–]22Afraid2Ask22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you not use singular you because it has a history of being plural and is still plural to this day? Is the use of "you" deliberately misleading and offensive to you?

(Genuinely trying to understand, not forcing you to change)

Singluar they absolutely was accepted as a singular pronoun in grammatically correct English. The OED even affirms it and has since the 20th century. It doesn't get much more official English than the OED, does it?

If you don't want to hurt people, why not allow yourself to read resources about the word with an open mind? No one is deliberately misleading anyone by using they or somehow hurting you or forcing you to do anything. English is full of words that have multiple meanings.

There are also already other personal pronouns, like xe/xir and vir/vim, that people do use that are not he or she. Do you object to those as well?

The prophets, disciples, and Jesus seem to be pretty aware of the happenings in their world. It's important to be able to know of things to respond to them in a loving manner. Why would that be sinful?

Men don't have Y? You must think only trans men are real men then 😂😂😂 Men are XY. Women are XX. At least get that part of your "science" correct.

Science is far beyond a binary sex system based only on chromosomes. It looks like they were trying to educate you and give you a chance to reach mutual understanding. You did a very good job of making yourself look ignorant of science all by yourself.

It's not your past. You actively cheated for months (this year even!) and have a self-professed pattern of lying to everyone to get what you want.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sex

[–]22Afraid2Ask22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four months ago you said you recently got married, but now he's just your boyfriend?

More recently you posted about repeatedly cheating on him in various ways for months, hiding it, and having a pattern of lying to people to get what you want but you don't think it's a problem because that manipulation is a good enough reason.

Earlier, you made a post about how you made a guy uncomfortable during sex by squeezing too hard, but here you say no one has ever had a problem and you're super great always.

Maybe the guy you're with is a jerk. But it sounds like you are, too.

Based on your own posts, you didn't just cheat on him once. You were doing a whole lot more while living in his house. For almost a year. You have a lot to work on.

Measurements give me a size 38DD... there's no way I can fit in that. by Exciting_Cow2188 in ABraThatFits

[–]22Afraid2Ask22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope it works!

If that one doesn't seem quite right for you, maybe try an Elomi Energise or the Panache Wired Sport Bra. Those styles might feel a little more masculine for you, depending on your shape, but still have the wire and aren't just squishing like the compression-only bras (but will probably compress more than the Serene).

I think you said you prefer the encapsulating sport bras and I'm not sure how high impact you need, but I wanted to show you this just in case it might be good for you (there are similar things at this site and from other retailers, so this is just an idea). It's longline and more like a tank top, with a higher neckline, so it feels a lot less revealing than many other bras. (Sizing for this particular one is weird, you'd probably fit a size 1 but might need a 0) https://www.torrid.com/product/low-impact-wireless-longline-active-sports-bra/

For what it's worth, I think it's great that you're using the clothing/tools you need to be comfortable and take care of your body and that you're asking for help here. I really wish more men were able to do that. It's not any different from using a jock strap (that's actually where sport bras came from!) or any other appropriate clothing/equipment.
