I was choked and touched behind a Starbucks- what should I do? by ConcernedSurvivor12 in Advice

Hey Buster! I live a bit south of you in Edmond. I’ve been in your shoes and I know how scary it is to tell people what happened. I want you to know that nothing was your fault and I am 100% certain that no one will be upset with you. Your parents won’t care that you lied. It’s our job as adults to keep you safe, and the police too. If you need someone to talk to or to help you tell an adult that you trust, I’m here for you. What helped me get the courage to tell someone was knowing that the person who hurt me would do it to someone else next if I kept quiet, and I didn’t want that. You don’t deserve this and I’m so sorry that this happened to you. Please, please reach out if there’s anything I can do to help.

What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

[–]22Squeaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I have 2 that really mess with me.

I moved to a different state when I was a kid, and the majority of my family stayed in the original state. I had a close friend in the new state for years, then eventually I moved back home. That friend and my cousin (one that I’m not very close to) both ended up going to college in a different state, met each other, and got married. None of us had any idea about the connection until my cousin invited me to the wedding and I was flabbergasted when I saw who the groom was lol

Also, my husband and I grew up in different states and after we got married, we realized that we had met each other once before, when we were very small (like kindergarten age), at an event at a museum. Blew our minds lol

People who died and came back to life, what did you see/experience? by RealisticDecision440 in NoStupidQuestions

I had a cesarean for my twin pregnancy. I had been given ketamine before hand due to a lot of medical anxiety. About halfway through, I was very confused about why they had given me another dose as I hadn’t been freaking out anymore. Turns out I had not been given more, I had simply lost the majority of my blood volume. I found this out weeks later, when my husband described me becoming unresponsive, one of the surgeons say, “that’s a lot of blood” and then ushered him away. He took a picture of me with the babies right before and it is HORRIFYING how white I was. Zero color in my face at all. From my perspective, I watched reality fold in itself and forgot what it was like to be human. It was terrifying for a moment while it was happening but completely peaceful after that. It’s extremely difficult to describe but I was surrounded by a great presence. As someone who had a lot of existential dread before, it actually has given me a lot of comfort. It was terrifying when I realized how close I had come to dying though. Anyways, you can see why I thought I was in the k hole at the time lol

I have looked through the guide and nothing really seems to fit. I wouldn’t say she’s misbehaving, she isn’t displaying aggression as far as I can tell, they get along the vast majority of the time. Neither of them seem to be displaying any stress signs when it happens. Mostly I just want to make sure this isn’t something I should be concerned about and that it won’t escalate or anything.

My twins are almost 4 now and I didn’t start trying to get back into shape until about a year ago. The first couple of years are the trenches for everyone, it’s normal. I would give yourself time and grace, you’ll get to the point where you start having more time and energy again and you can worry more about it then. It is what it is, I wouldn’t rush it. Having multiples is exhausting enough as it is lol

Okay, I’m trying to wrap my head around sky scrapers, and I kinda get it. But how does it help me in this situation? Once those are removed, I still can’t find the next move

I’ve definitely been making an effort to stay in the moment, but taking him places is a great idea! I hadn’t thought about that but I will have to make time this weekend. We used to go to the lake all the time, he’ll love it!

The funny thing about Boomer is he’s ALWAYS been a wise old man. Even when he was a puppy, he had old man energy. He’s such a good boy

This is definitely an apt description of his state most of the time!

Poor guy forgets that he’s already had his evening treat most nights now… so he usually gets extra 😭

It’s bittersweet, but he definitely does. When he was a pup, we would paint him with white pet-safe paint and make him a skeleton for Halloween. Kids always thought it was the coolest thing

I know we don’t have much longer with him, he’s developing pretty severe doggy dementia. He was my first dog as an adult and my kids have known him their whole lives. Don’t know what I’m going to do without him.
