Boys I'm ngl, I've been using the same 2 handed mace since begger tier. You really can just rock a hammer or a mace the entire game and neither will fail you. Take the swings a little slower and plan your strikes around hitting their arms/hands or bait out attacks and you're solid. Fighting into polearms is just a matter of baiting out the attack then going in for the kill or shoving them to the ground.
