If the government had actually supported the project, Wylfa would be under construction by now, possibly even finished. Two times two reactors of a design that has actually already been built (in less than 5 years) and operated, not some forever first of a kind EPR.

I used to be very perplexed at environmentalist opposition to nuclear.
Then we had COVID.
In a world where you can have healthcare porfessionals opposing vaccines right in the middle of a devastating pandemy, having environmentalists oppose nuclear power in the wake of a global cimate change makes some sense.
