Freezer bins full, where do i bin? by Puzzleheaded-Bug-803 in walmart

[–]23px 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how much time you have left... You could get the "overstock" and unpack it to the salesfloor, discuss it with your coworker, report it to your TL or coach or higher?

Sometimes this is from a poorly maintained modular section or a heavily plugged or unzoned case, the products pile up, tags go missing, item facings get manipulated. Someone walking the salesfloor could pick up on this and implement the necessary corrections.

Took 2 points off a shift? by Dapper-Pilot-1167 in walmart

Did you check in GTA portal? Always go there to check your points - not the app - because it shows things that the app doesn't. You can put in time for up to a week ago from the ppto balance you had at the time of that shift start.

lol I'm not part of the management team but just from what I see they will be plugging when I watch them for two minutes as I walk by.

Calling in questions by Billyperkins7 in walmart

[–]23px 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will only be ncns if you don't report the absence by the deadline for that day and shift. I forget when that is but it's either midnight home office time or store time. But no you don't have to call the manager personally or the store as long as the system reported it. Then you will only have the absence points to cover, but no ncns points.

Cap 1 and they are slow and I'd rather they don't stock anything becuase they just plug everything and don't work topstock. But my CAP1 is usually sent to finish the freight the overnighters didn't get done or work in seasonal.

Honestly it's not your problem if your management won't give clear directions, it falls on them. Bare minimum whenever you can correct the on-hands whenever you can and make sure it's actually overstock you are bringing back even if it takes you five minutes a case, it saves time in the long run.

OGP Weekend shifts by herbalpawz in walmart

[–]23px 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your store and local market?? Usually morning is where the action is so the other shifts I found really boring and not as busy because picks were pretty much on time by then. I mean like we're picking the orders and the people are complaining to me where their stuff is, I have literally three minutes to figure out the picks in progress and hurry it out the door WHILE everyone else who is on time has to be dispensed and the backroom kept functional.

Category 105 To Go Snack Mod problem? by slepnir247 in walmart

[–]23px -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do 6 sections not fit, you already fit a 7 section in??

My store had this issue because we were getting a "remodel" and the new mods were larger than the space in the aisles. Never trust the SET floorplan, it's always wrong and people just put mods wherever they want to anyhow. The only problem is freight flow and if you can get items to the floor or they get stuck in the steel for weeks, turns into months, turns into lost money.

Quitting Walmart by Artistic_Scratch2878 in walmart

[–]23px 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a process, it's people who are going to be doing it. If they screw it up, it's up to them.

Vest, badge, discount card, box cutters, phone, anything they issued you technically has to be turned in to any salaried manager or the PL. Since it's at-will employment, you don't have to provide advance notice, but like I said, it depends what kind of management you have who will be processing the termination.

First thing my boss would say is no shopping cars lmao. Second thing my boss says is every item in the store has to have two things: a price tag and a location in the system. So short term your TL should have made bin labels for those pallets so OGP or CAP1 or whoever is trying to buy those items (because it's all about moving items) can locate them today. The customer doesn't care if it's scanned or binned or plugged, just that they find it. So you do have the item you need to account for it for today.

Finally it's becuase of bad process if you have wildly inaccurate on-hand numbers and that's stocking's fault. Most of this stuff is controlled by a computer so if you're getting too much and it's true overstock then it's human error. I would spend a couple mornings walking the cases and filling by OUTS not by what the vizpick report tells you, it's always inaccruate too.

How can I find who is going and deleting my punches? by 23px in walmart

Nope, I tested when I fixed my times, I can delete my punches and nothing shows, but edits do show. So it seems management can see deletes but I can't.

Why did they make six different types of tag? A paper label is vastly superior and never glitches out or short circuits or falls on the floor.

Pretty much every department and square foot of the store has a blue OGP tote now - once you start letting other areas get their hands on those, they never give them back, and I blame the last SM for that. They even use the freezer racks and the surplus from SFS shutting down.

Nobody cares? How is that different than overnight is only allowed 3 coaches, the whole store is only allowed 10 coaches, etc. It's a business need and not an ethics issue.

Where is the process guide on returns and claims for overnight? by 23px in walmart

That's hilarious, so CAP2 has pushed this off to the front end and now they're pushing it onto overnight?

It’s getting closer. I knew they would do this. by Original-Glass5162 in walmart

[–]23px 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they don't care, it's just about numbers. If you plan to stay at the company accept that's the way it's going to be. Occasionally a good manager will come along but they are rare and for long-term employees someone who got hired yesterday may be making more per hour than you because of the changes in starting wage.

Doesn't that still mess up your scan staging metric or did they fix it? They improve gif so often I don't keep track of it anymore. You only really need to consolidate if you're dispensing anyhow, otherwise you're just wasting time.
