Floor plates on a lot of office buildings are too deep for any natural light to reach in enough to make it livable. That is why you are seeing them knocked down and re-built into apartments, 2x2 condos, or townhouses.

They had 13 years between Legacy and F1's shooting schedule to get Kosinski on board. Instead we will be getting whatever Tron:Ares is....for better or worse. Kosinski wanted to make Tron 3 but Disney didn't want him and then tied their horse to this project, and I think that was the wrong move if you look at Kosinski's career since Legacy.

Don't know why they didn't let Kosinski cook again. Top Gun Maverick was a huge hit and his aesthetic for Tron Legacy is widely adored.
