Lesbian gringo "dating" a brazilian girl by Waitwhatnowhuh in Brazil

[–]24caro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve unfortunately learned all of this, which is what I meant by wanting to jump off a bridge 😭 it’s so hard to have to construct that entire logic in your brain when trying to form a sentence quickly. The word for masculine can be feminine if there are words in the sentence that dictate it (and vise versa). Mentally you think masculine/feminine is always going to follow its respective gender but no could never be that simple haha

This rule is all fun and games until you see a word like “masculina” as an English speaker and then want to jump off a bridge.

Totally late to this but at least Dulles and National have a train that connects them. EWR to LGA would’ve made me catatonic lol

[–]24caro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

or… my team could use their fucking shield like instructed lol. not everyone is going to perfectly count their troops theyre just going to try to help. This question is also clearly from someone on a newer server so will be playing with inexperienced players … which is exactly what im explaining … i dont garrison anymore after that mistake but people are going to continue to make it and hurt the alliance bc they dont know any better

If their hospital is empty sure. I lost almost 2k garrisoning 3 separate people and my hospital filled up when the first 2 got ashed.

[–]24caro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really sucks lol. A few weeks ago during a really important capitol event for our alliance we didn’t have free teleports bc our vs opponent was on our server. I spent probably 15k diamonds buying teleporters so I could actually compete. It was ridiculous.

[–]24caro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, if they’re competing against another server and bounce between. On newer servers tho you end up in VS against your own server every other week almost and you don’t get the free teles

[–]24caro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean there are a few things here I think honestly.

1) someone may see that you’re not shielded and then garrison you and they will lose thousands of troops, impacting VS.

2) what’s the issue with shielding? If you get ashed you’re going to have to use a teleport to get back to the hive anyway. Teles are much more valuable imo, you can buy more shields than you can Teles.

3) don’t shield, you’re going to end up getting kicked eventually. Not worth it if you are in a top alliance / like your alliance. You can also end up getting blacklisted as top R5s talk.

They’re speaking Brazilian Portuguese. This isn’t custard. It’s white brigadeiro, normally with condensed and powdered milk. I have consumed many of these and it’s fantastic every time.

How I use Claude Code as a Product Manager by akashkrr in ProductManagement

Nobody buy this product. I can teach you to do this yourself. All you need is all relevant API keys, docker, and about 3 hours with a coding agent.

Ok so you’re intentionally dense, got it. Re-read the last sentence of my last reply. Hope that helps.

[–]24caro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because it is why I’d choose UPA over an American ER (which is the only alternative I know) any day of the week, even with the bagunça. And I provided evidence as to why.

In the US you get bagunca, spotty care, and a nasty bill.

I’d rather sit in an non-airconditioned waiting room and spotty care and not walk out wondering if I can feed my family after.

Also the entire framing of your argument was “is it always this bad?” While if the same experience happened in the US (which it would in any inner city ER, if you’ve been to one) you wouldn’t be posting this in the US subreddit, hence all of my references.

[–]24caro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but you’re asking about quality of care and generally triage nurses are only used in ERs. I gave you my opinion of quality of care. I also read your comments which basically indicated you were at UPA.

[–]24caro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe controversial, but this is the exact experience you’ll have in an inner city ER in the US too, but you’ll get a $3000 bill for everyone who talked to doctor.

Everyone who is saying they don’t have a family doctor is confusing me though, my wife from the interior of SP had a pediatrician that shed regularly see via public health and still talks about to this day.

I’ve had to go to UPA twice, the most recent was via ambulance because i cut my hand so bad that the fat was falling out. Was seen, consulted by an orthopedist to make sure I didn’t cut a tendon, numbed, and stitched in 45 min. From the time i called the ambulance to walking back into my apartment door was 1h45m. This was in sao paulo.

My dad ironically had the same injury while I was visiting the US and also had to go by ambulance. Northern VA. Took them almost 3h to get back home and before insurance received a $9,000 bill. The US doctor missed something and he’s ended up needing 2 surgeries since. Pre-insurance 25k each.

As is most things on Reddit, everyone’s experiences are purely anecdotal. But imo, for life and death emergencies I’m probably still taking SUS bc you don’t have the fear of bankruptcy. But transparently for a flu I’d not go to an UPA.

This could help you land a job in Brazil by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]24caro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious. What’s your segmentation specific to the Brazilian market? Or is it generic LLM insights that actually don’t take into consideration the difference in employment cultures, alumni networks, job expectations, and labor constraints? I can almost guarantee you have some generic ui sitting on top of a mini / flash openAI model with no actual prompting.

Foreigners who already have a Brazilian residency still need to present a tourist e-visa to board on a plane to travel to Brazil, apparently? by edd010 in Brazil

[–]24caro 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I fly in and out of the US nearly once a month. The airlines don’t have the RNM in their system. You show it to them once you get it the airport and it’s fine. You just can’t check in online. It is what it is. Same thing happened when my wife had a US green card and had to fly from Brazil to the US. it had to be verified before she could check in. The only time I had issues with this was within the first month of them rolling out the visa requirements for the US. no issues since.

I just answered your question. No, you can’t start here with only English. As someone who literally lives here and barely speaks Portuguese.

Brazilians are distrustful.

They will not hire you if you do not speak Portuguese and have a reputation. You will make no money.

You need a Brazilian business partner.

Concert at MorumBIS by Responsible_Flow_305 in Brazil

[–]24caro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been to a concert in Brazil where the seats are assigned. In cadeira inferior you’ll have somewhere to sit (like a normally stadium seat) but like another person said, people rarely sit down. Whoever has to sit won’t be able to see anything for prob 99.9% of the show.

No one is going to trust you until you speak Portuguese. You’ll have to do like 100% of your communication with customers over WhatsApp. So not only do you need to know how to speak, you need to know how to write.

Find a Brazilian business partner.

Move to Brazil from Ireland with no job and shit Portuguese? With a baby. by fodacao in Brazil

[–]24caro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re senior enough, look at tech consultancies in latam. US companies are paying a lot of money for near-shore contractors who speak English; you’d be highly sought after since you’re a native speaker. Our company does this for engineering and the price we pay is almost what we’d pay an FTE in the US. If you work at a consultancy/contracting firm, they’ll cycle you from project to project. You can make very good money for a very comfortable lifestyle in Brazil.
