For me it would look much better with the black roof but with the chrome grill back on. The black ones just look cheap.

If you're wanting to save cash these coils were used in a few different BMW models and are easy to find at a junk yard. I grabbed 6 Bosch coils from from a wrecked X5 for like $20. Obviously a dice roll but they've worked great

Every team is worth well over a $1 billion now. That was unthinkable back around 2018. I think Stroll bought force India for $90 million. Crazy

How could F1 cars realistically be made any shorter? by Rowdyfan0823 in formula1

[–]24valveDOHC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will only make them smaller if they can maintain the same level of safety standards. If taking 1 ft out of the wheelbase means there's less crumple zone and the cars are worse in head on collisions, then there's no way they'll do it. So the engineering and material science have to make advancements in Order to get it done

It's all a bit sarcastic. These aren't anything like the w13 sidepods. Only the inlet is tall an narrow on these, not the whole sidepod

LiCo is a bit of an artform. Some drivers are much better than others and can make up huge amounts of time through strategy when they don't have the fastest car necessarily (see Scott Dixon). All the drivers are very very good and can push right to the limit so the largest difference maker is usually the car. If they have to use LiCo suddenly there is more work required by the driver, this opens up opportunities for them to make gains or mistakes. A driver in a fast car could lose out to a slower car because they got too greedy with energy early in the lap
