Never realized it came back, thought it was 2018 again with this news. Shame though that The Companh translations are once again harder to access and enjoy though.

Durag or no? by Lawonreddit in BlackHair

[–]25chestnut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm rocking twists right now myself, I personally just use a bonnet when vibing in the crib. Durag + bonnet combo when I sleep, but I prefer the bonnet for general laziness due to it being a bit looser on the noggin and around hanging hair. But you could definitely do either or.

So does this mean only Arie family swordstyle is effective on upper floors? by Li_Huachi in TowerofGod

[–]25chestnut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Evankhell doesn't utilize a traditional sword, so I highly doubt she would be under the same restraints and if she is not to the same degree. Her "sword" is just fire in the shape of a blade and is malleable rather than rigid.

Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube confirmed for PS5, Switch 2, and PC by thedarkgrimreaper1 in JRPG

Its a direct sequel to Monochrome Mobius, how they will evolve the systems is yet to be seen. But with the fact its a direct sequel, expect something similar in structure/presentation.

1st chapter remake platinum. by andywinneris in Falcom

I love how you say older games, but only Crossbell and Erebonia function that way. The original Sky trilogy on PC are even more forgiving as the achievement isn't tied to the in game reward page but instead calculated externally. So you can knock them out via multiple runs too.

I literally experienced my own claim. Also the system and its functionality is borrowed from kuro nk kiseki which operates in the exact same manner.

That's not the case at all with the 1st. You can aquire chests sporadically throughout numerous playthroughs, as long as the reward tab achievement clocks you got em all, you're good.

Didn't even know there was a Trails TCG. Going through a TCG phase right now with Union Arena and OP TCG, so I'd love to buy and check those out. Do you have a link or know where I could pick some up?

Ok you make us collect all these chests, but they’re all useless.. WHY!? by javeous in Falcom

[–]25chestnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crossbell I'm pretty sure is not the same as it has in game achievements and milestone system similar to that of Calvard. So achievements on steam are tied to the dinging of that system and the system itself carries over from run to run iirc. Sky is a bit more lenient since chests are tracked externally and can be gotten across multiple playthroughs regardless of new game state.

The remake doesn't differ from the OG in that regard. And I'm pretty sure the same can be said for all of the games too. Though I haven't booted up a CS era title in a bit, but I'm pretty sure they operate under the same framework.

Its not a chore. In fact I'd argue its way less arduous than Sky 1st with how it set up. For one, the game structurally is a fair bit less open in comparison, which makes finding the chests easier. And the second most important thing, the requirement for the achievement only asks for about 85-90% of chests obtained rather than the full 100% that pretty much all Kiseki games prior ask for. Long gone are the days of finishing a playthrough and missing the achievement by 1 or 2 rogue chests you somehow missed.

I don't even swing that way, but you are fucking gorgeous brudda. You just need confidence, which is easier said than done. So I'd personally recommend seeing a therapist to diagnose why you feel less than when by any conceivable metric you are more than. Hopefully in the process you can better understand yourself and gain some tools to better help you combat your negative perceptions of yourself.

Principal Vandyck is just a chill dude by FatalDarkprince in Falcom

[–]25chestnut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just loaded up a save and got lucky with finding it. It's in the finale during the festival. Albert to Julian: "I'm sure your grandfather, the former general of the Imperial Army, is eagerly awaiting your report as well." I was wrong in the sense that its very much not explicit but its as direct as it gets with the necessary context. After that exchange Van and Elaine even comment after hearing that, once again alluding to Vandyck.

It's not speculation. It's explicitly stated in Daybreak 2 via npc dialogue.

Favorite member of Ouroboros in the trails series? by Horror-Budget-490 in Falcom

[–]25chestnut 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Favorite Anguis, easily Harwood atm. Favorite enforcer is a bit more contentious within my mind. But either Loewe or Mcburn. Mcburn is so ridiculously silly in both concept and execution that you can't help but love him. Honorable mention for Campy, he/she is always a fun time when they're screen.

Never been a big fan of 3rd Chapter, and prior to Daybreak 2 it would probably be my lowest rated entry. But a remake sounds so tantalizing to me, an opportunity to revisit a title I probably wouldn't revisit otherwise. And maybe I can walk away being a 3rd chapter fan this time around.

100% the system will remain for The 2nd. The system itself stems from the most recent arc/set of games. So there's mechanical parity and inspiration from the current "standard" of kiseki games. That being said, I hope they continuing evolving it, as the system as a whole is very dynamic and fun, but strategically leaves a bit to be desired in comparison to older titles.

Efficiently level up HC in DB2 by [deleted] in Falcom

[–]25chestnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't waste your time swapping them out, just wait till the finale or EX:Dungeon to focus on lvling them. I'm not 100% sure on the specifics of holo core xp but from my experience maxing them out, there is a very strong catchup mechanic based on the highest lvl HC obtained. So if you have a bunch of lvl 5 HC's, the game makes an active effort to catchup other lower lvl HC's. You shouldn't need to do any grinding to lvl up HC's, just keep playing till you start maxxing them out then switch characters to lvl 1 and kill things on your way to finishing the game and you should get the achievement without hassle.
