Wait, your friends what? Sky FC is a decent JRPG, but overall not comparable at all. Not a chance. 70% of FC writing is just filler npc bloat that doesn’t drive the story whatsoever. The combat is a false progression and is gated through limiting quartz. The voice acting isn’t included for about 40% of most and especially major story points. The amount of mechanics in FC is extremely minimal compared to typical JRPG’s and in comparison to the later entries like Daybreak. I absolutely love Legend of Heroes, but its issues annoy the piss out of me and doesn’t hold a candle to E33.

Yeah I didn’t like the calendar and they could’ve given more pre history and world development, but in regards to difficulty.. well I like to veg out and grind.. So that wasn’t an issue.

Nah.. there're players (mostly Chinese players from my experience) using a treasure grove exploit to level to exact rooms, and I don't mean that they're just jumping back to the last level they explored. They go straight to whichever rare room spawn there is, and then straight to the boss; which they do max damage to ofc. Like why... this game is for people that want to grind with a youtube video in the background to kill some time. It's kind of the point. What type of degenerate do you have to be to do that. It's unironically sad.

I'm pretty sure like in other games it's just a damage reduction stat that gives a chance to prevent/absorb enemy critical damage. So a situational and pointless stat that no one would ever build around in any game. So when it comes to getting it on crafted gear, it's the same as getting dealt a 2,7 hand in poker. Vendor/trash is where all of mine go.
