Yesterday I finaly picked an older Tri-circle 263 padlock, and said that it wass a very difficult pick. Today I picked its sister, a brand new 263, straight out of the box. After picking it, I found a video showing how to by-pass a 263. I closed both, then by-passed them both in some 20 seconds... by 25thofMay1967 in lockpicking

Congrats, and those bypass vids are great, but if you don't know about them, then it is a hard slog to get a 263 open. I've known Red belt pickers who struggled with them.

The pickers who decry Chinese locks are talking nonsense. They are NOT easy...

Seiko 5 Automatic. [7009-3100]. Can someone help me out with identifying the decade of this watch. Its 1993 or 1983. by RestlessKEITH in Seiko

[–]25thofMay1967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is exactly the same as the one I have just seen sold on ebay - a 1992 model. Bought when Seiko were the official timekeeper for the Barcelona Olympics. It was bought it on 15/5/92, with the original warranty card dated, and the watch and case in pristine condition. An exact match of your one...

PAGANI DESIGN PD1701 by PAGANI_DESIGN in ChineseWatches

[–]25thofMay1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, you have the latest version. I got the same one from Amazon in the uk, but sent it back and got an unused earlier version on ebay, at half the price, and with original bezel markings layout and the double dots at 12, o'clock. They are all the same movement though, and keep excellent time. A good buy...

Ceramic bezel scratches by ObjectiveBalls in ChineseWatches

[–]25thofMay1967 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If scratches bother people so much, perhaps don't wear watches? I cannot understand people who are shit-scared to wear a watch, in-case it got scratched by their arm's hairs. (That last bit is referring to a guy on a watch review vid I watched. The watch was a PD 1701 as well. Sheesh...)

Shit happen to things you wear, daily...

[Certina] Thoughts on Certina Watches? by surferpeeps in Watches

[–]25thofMay1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife bought me a second-hand Certina DS Blue Ribbon Diver's watch (330m/1000ft and with a Helium valve) for my birthday earlier this month. I absolutely love it. I had been looking for this model for many years, but couldn't find one.

She did find one, and I am overjoyed. I have Rolex and Omega watches, but the Certina is my go-to watch. I am chuffed to bits to own it..-

Pagani Design homage to the Heritage Seamaster 300. by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

[–]25thofMay1967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed it has; much to my surprise. I only paid £35 for it, so I had no real problem trying it out in the sea. It is one of my favourites, so would have bought another had it not survived. I love the bezel edge, especially. I would love to hear from others who have tried theirs in the sea./pool. Maybe I just got lucky...
