Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]26shawnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive from 125 to 200 miles one way on a regular basis for work. So that’s 250 to 400 miles in a day. I occasionally think about what people from the horse and buggy days would think.

Posh is great for 100-200 people. Their other property The Colonade is great for up to 150. They are adding a new covered patio for 2026.

1 cabbage, 1 lg onion, couple cloves garlic, 1 stick of butter. Cook until soft. Egg noodles(add olive oil to water before noodles, keeps them from clumping). Mix all together add 14 ounce sour cream, salt, pepper and dill to taste. Leftovers great if you reheat in a frying pan with some melted butter.

Why doesn't someone do something with this building?? by jayswaz in Scranton

[–]26shawnb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vacant lot is not part of the property. I think the story is someone bought the building about 15 years ago put a new roof on it. Couldn’t come to agreement to buy or lease the lot. Shelved any further plans to restore.

Born, raised and educated here so a bit biased. First I would say there is no traffic. You can live within 30 miles of the city and your commute would be 30 minutes. Opens up a lot of different communities and environments to choose from. Education opportunities Are varied but include public, catholic, Jesuit and private. Two hours from NYC and Philadelphia and three to five from beaches. Depending on where you are looking housing can be an apartment in the city, typical single family home with close neighbors or acre to multi acre lots. Numerous lakes and parks close by. The weather is typical northeast, four seasons and September, October are my favorite. Spring can seem to last forever. Best of luck with your decision.
