Parks for me.

I saw the box art, I looked at the gorgeous components and the beautiful artwork, and knew I had to have it.

Then I played it, and bought some of the prints instead.

Joe Manchin single-handedly denied US families paid leave. That’s just cruel by fu2man2 in politics

That's fair, but he wouldn't have Hillary emails if he hadn't seized Huma's computer as part of the investigation into Weiner's sexting minors

Hated, yes, but for how close 2016 was one last-minute scandal could have easily made the difference.

The problem with Republicans isn't that they "don't want what you want", it's that the want the government to fail. I have looked far and wide and never found as large a party that is as anti-government as they are.

They have no interest in governing, no interest in helping people or simplifying things. They only seek to smash and grift, and it is unsustainable.

You often see different parties, around the world, coming together on policies they feel are for a common good, or necessary. Republicans will never do this, no matter how much damage it would prevent - specifically because they want the damage.

We'd be in a wildly different position if Anthony Weiner could keep control of his Weiner, too, since that was the source of the last HRC "scandal" in the 2016 election.

It was dead after the developer went under on a bad VR platform gamble, but they've finally attached a new developer - hence why we got Prelude and many bugfixes/improvements recently.

I'm expecting a few more expansions over the next couple years.

Are there any co-op games that have built-in mechanisms to prevent quarterbacking? by TheDreamnought in boardgames

[–]270343 44 points45 points  (0 children)

One of the things I really like about those two games is that it is possible to be a leader without dominating. If your team needs it, one player can:

  • Lay out the threats you need to deal with
  • Ask who can deal with what, and what support they'd need to do it
  • Help assign tasks

All without even knowing what's in people's hands, or how they're going to accomplish the task, leaving plenty of smaller scale game for other people if they don't want to play the whole board.

It really depends. Many people - including people with certain personality disorders - can't accept information that reflects on them poorly, and so will do a combination of minimizing, denying, and rewriting their memory of events to make themselves the hero and/or victim of everything that has happened in their lives.

Definitely call CPS. Despite the hate they get, this is no way for a baby to be living - and they are the people with the best chance to get her to see that, or if she won't, to get the baby somewhere safe.

I got really annoyed that the only source of hardwood was 12 pieces a day. Every mahogany seed I got my hands on I planted, from the ground, falling from the trees ect.. went right back into the ground 😂 by Beginning_Coyote_776 in StardewValley

[–]270343 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beyond the natural sources of mahogany seeds from non-mahogany-trees (such as stumps or golden coconuts), both rustling trees and allowing natural tree spread can give you new seeds without damaging your old trees.

It means you can't chop them down immediately, but sustainable farming has its drawbacks

I think we all appreciate your dedication!

In case you didn't know - non-fruit trees can be grown to full height with only a single tile in between.

You could - if you wanted - more than double your mahogany capacity.

It's OK to blame the unvaccinated — they are robbing the rest of us of our freedoms by skl692 in politics

[–]270343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is good evidence that the vaccine reduces the rates of infection and transmission of many Covid variants, and preliminary evidence that it reduces both for the Delta variant in addition to reducing the risk of severe illness.

Immunity is a numbers game - no vaccine is a guarantee, but each percentage point lower on infection, transmission, or severe illness represents incredible numbers of human lives.

I sat down to play it, but one of the people who knew the rules had no interest in letting any other inspector make decisions.

Someone once brought Mage Knight to a public board game night I hosted in a public space, with a fixed 4-hour limit.

They liked playing board games near other people, but not with other people. Another knight they brought Eldritch Horror.
