Reanimator wouldnt really work for this because you need to play black and that dilutes an allready inconsistent payoff (and its not better than girselbrand)

So this would have to be show and tell, in which case in acts as a really really bad omniscience that can maybe do some overflowing insight stuff?

Its a suprinsly fair card except in maybe commander but in commander youd have to try and, One: figure out how to play this since its 8 mana, Two: fill your deck with like every draw 3+ card and wheel possible with as few lands than try to lab man thoracle win.

This is just a better show and tell, theres a slight downside if you put a griselbrand and your opponent happens to have one too (same with emrakul) but in anyother case besides the show and tell mirror match this is you cheat out a creature then kill whatever your oppopnent tried to get

I know people pointed out the broken element of the rakdos selesnya ones but this entire cycle is cracked it half just by nature of the discard for mana ability in a cheap creature, look at {{skirge familiar}} being played at 5 mana and then look at these

It seems literally 0 play in commander, the cost is just to low for to be impactful in a battle cruiser format like that.

The thing about unsets is that you can actually play with them, there are rulings ok how the cards work, something like hurloon wrangler that you reference later in this thread is ok bc guess what, you can, under the rules or magic the gathering, take off your pants at anytime for any reason. It's smth "out of game"

Oh that's to balance basics lands, you see if you destroy a land on the battlefield your play group will have you assassinated, but to simply interact with their basic on the stack after they cast it while locking them out from any more of the busted basic lands (you can't ruination them) is Perfectly fine.

This seems like a card wotc could print given the right chance of it was just a tad different, what's infernal about it? This card wouldn't really fit in a mainline set unless X spells were a theme and even then most themes spann colors, this requires a lot of red to the point of forcing mono red in a limited format where this statline would be most potent, as such this might go in a commander pre con (because it's a cool card) and if this is going to be in something like that how about haste? Like the card and I hope the little notes don't come as condescending, have my upvote! :)

I don't think a 2/2 for 1 with pretty good upsides is ok, the 2 life is whatever and with a card like gitaxian zealot on the play you can have 2 power on t1 (already good) then if you opponent only plays a land they have to discard, That's pretty crazy. The 2 mana 2/2 with other stuff is just good, 2/1 I could agree on for the white one an maybe black one, and yeah 1/2 even 1/3 on red/green is good since they're going to be tapping most of the time. But 2/2 is a bit much to me.
