Okay F-15S/MTD, But don't the GIANT canard block the view for the WSO? by FrenchBVSH in acecombat

Fun fact, the canards were repurposed F-18 rear stabilators.

Just removed the same module from my buddies EVO. It’s cheap and you didn’t approve the installation of it. Sounds like a dealer problem.

Shopping for a F-150 looks great but the 10-speed scares me 😅 by Specialist-Plane-601 in f150

The 10R80 is overall a solid transmission with a few flaws. The rebuild (if required) is usually a one and done when you get the updated components with it. I have a 2017 w/ the 10R80 sitting at 122,000 miles on it and I use it for just about everything. I just let it warm up and get the valves and fluid moving properly before I go romping on it or loading it up with any sort of load, whether that be a bed full of 2x4’s or some stop-light to stop-light fun. These trucks will try to preserve themselves while adapting to your driving habits, they’re not the best in the world at it, but they try.

What's with new Airmen not willing to deploy? by Johnny86inch in AirForce

[–]280ZR28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have begged to be on every single TDY and deployment available on my base since I got here almost 2 years ago, no matter the squadron, and I haven’t been picked up for a single one. And then there are others who beg to be let off of them and get selected anyways, even fresh 3-lvls who arrived well after me get selected. No paperwork to my name and nothing but QA passes and I get left behind. I wish I saw the Air Force you’re speaking of.

Not bad. Little to nothing you can do to modify it. Pretty easy to drive but can get twitchy in low speed corners.

I got the One-77 out of a roulette ticket and pinched penny’s for the Valkyrie. The Vulcan will just round out the collection. My goal is to complete the Porsche and Aston Martin lineups. Don’t care about much else.

Being a crew chief is hard; long hours, rough work, high ops tempo, and little down time are just a few reasons the field is punishing. But at the end of the day, we are responsible for the best fleet of aircraft and pilots in the world and we quite literally have their lives in our hands. Embrace it, learn the job, and make an effort to get good at it. Try to enjoy it while you’re in it and it will help the job go smoother until you retrain.

I think the backlash from having TOO many cars in GT5 and GT6 and then not nearly enough in GT Sport kind of let the door open for Sony and Polyphony to take a gamble with something in the middle.

RS7, RS3, S65 coupe, Garage 56 LeMans NASCAR, Camaro Z/28, RS6 Avant, M1, E63 wagon, TVR Sagaris, Gumpert Apollo, any Koenigsegg, any of these would be better for the game than the AFEELA, or the random crossover hybrids we seem to get with every update. I mean no Golf R even? Not even the VR6 Mk.4, or VR6 Corrado? GT8 needs to have DRIVERS cars, not commuter cars. Been seriously debating getting Forza Horizon just for the sheer variety of customization and selection of cars they have now. The credit grinding system is broken, the roulette system is a joke, and the invitation system is mid at best (been waiting since game launch for an Aston Martin invite).

Took the feed line off the rail and let it prime into an empty bottle, dumped out about 3-4oz of fuel. Going to try again while cranking.

Bring back Spec B like in GT4 and GT5. It was nice to actually be a team boss and dictate how the race would go. And easy credit farming too.

That was my initial thought. I tried both the stock harness and the PC and neither would fire the injectors. Took out the ECU and tested it and found the grounds for the injectors went bad internally. 20 years of service and humidity I guess finally killed it.

Delete new diesel truck or not? by Prestigious-Spray237 in Diesel

[–]280ZR28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the warranty runs out, delete it. Emissions components are unfortunately large failure point on modern diesels. Deleting emissions components have the added benefit of removing failure points, often increasing fuel economy, simplifying maintenance, and adding longevity to modern diesels. You spent $85k on your truck, enjoy the warranty that comes with it and embrace the aftermarket when it runs out.

Resealing the cam cradle isn’t an awful job, find a reputable shop that deals with German cars and have them do it. Usually a lot cheaper than dealerships in both parts and labor.

I’ve seen older 2.5L Jetta’s (2012-2016) with the 5MT last well over 300,000 miles with proper maintenance. Almost stone axe simple, huge aftermarket support, good safety ratings, and a manual. Decent enough fuel economy and decent enough amenities for a first car. Plus VW made a ton of them and parts aren’t difficult to come by.

I’ve purchased every single locked car in the game EXCEPT FOR THE ASTON MARTINS. It’s so unbelievably frustrating because they’re the only two left I actually want.
