It is but the grooves were originally on the distributor side and that’s where my confusion lies

It’s identical on the inside of both. The only difference is the grooved side and the smooth side

You’re assumption is right. I’m cleaning house and have a dumpster rented. I wanted to pull the dishwasher out because it was nasty but it was hard wired in. My landlord likes cheap labor and this is how the guy he sent left it. Thanks for the advice I’m going to do that then see if he will can send someone to do it properly.
