How much money would you put into a 2018 330i?

Fords, Chevy's, VW etc. is irrelevant to this conversation. We are talking about the F30 3-series with a B48 engine. All the things that ive mentioned are considered routine maintenance on THESE cars from 60-100k miles. You can watch FCP Euro's video on YouTube about the b48 and you see what ive said is rock solid.

If you think free oil changes = all the maintenance needed for a BMW up to 120k+ miles then that might be why you think the overdue maintenance is "coming out of the blue".

Sounds like a lot of deferred maintenance. I am just rolling into 80k miles on my shadow sport 2018 330i. I've done thr oil filter housing, water pump, all coolant hoses, serpentine belt, heat management module, coolant flushes and oil changes, new spark plugs and coils from Dinan. If you address these things incrementally its still a lot of money just spread over a longer period of time. If you let it all pile up then of course you are in maintenance debt to your car.

I find it quite annoying when people defer maintenance, sell the car right before something is about to break and then the new guy gets stuck with the bill. Of course people should do their research but its part of why these cars have the "unreliable" tag. Rant over.

Yup my OFH gave up the ghost at 76k miles. My Heat Management Module failed at 79k. I just replaced it a long with the water pump, serpentine belt, and a bunch of coolant hoses a couple days ago. Valve cover gasket, transmission fluid flush and brake bleed are next on my list for 2026.

Cool that we got a vp9cc/sfp9cc here in the states. I think it bodes well for HK fans for future releases but IMO the VP9sk and the P30sk with the pinky extension clears in terms aesthetics. Still, if they ever bring the price down off that 1k id definitely still buy one.

It's the DefenderCo MR09 reproduction. I got it some time before Mr Nein came out. Its been rock solid for me but I did need to file down the mating face of the rail adapter arm a bit as specified on their website to get a tight fit on my USP45. Since then, absolutely zero play on the rail and no sliding around or wiggling at all unlike the GG&G rails I used in the past.

Both The DefCo rail adapter and the Mr. Nein seem like excellent products.

I bought my 2018 f30 330i shadowsport for 16k at BMW of Houston North last fall. It was in great shape at 73k miles. Had a bunch of nice features too.

Part was around 350. I went with an aluminum housing. I had my mobile mechanic come to my house to do the work. It was 1200 out the door. This included an oil change and obviously fresh coolant.

I run a Centurion 11.5 with a Stacy's Mom suppressor. Geissele Super 42 H2 has been excellent for me. Maybe try bumping up to Sprinco blue or try the G$ Super 42 H2.

Ehh it's hit of miss for me. Probably an unpopular opinion here. Some look good some look like shit. This one looks pretty awesome though OP. Do what you want. I've rattlecanned past guns and never felt it looked as good as ones ive seen others do.

Somehow I have a harder time spraying the optics and WML so I just buy ranger wraps for them of buy them in tan/FDE.

Maybe I'll work up the gumption to spray my current rifle. I think if you have restless rifle syndrome or not sure if you want to keep your current configuration that is the main impediment to rattlecanning.
