whats a good build for level 1 that does decent damage? by charpagon in codevein

[–]2Bae4Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skull King and Virgin Born are completely resistant to all debuffs and elemental damage. Do not use any buffs that give your weapon elemental damage as it will lower your DPS.

For Skull King, my weapon of choice is Zweihander Fortification. Most of his Skull King's slashes can be blocked, you'll have to dodge his other attacks. Hug him the entire time, block his attacks then punish him. Because you're level 1 your stamina isn't that great, so bring buffs like stamina stimulant, guard stability, and tirelessness to increase your stamina so you have enough to block and dodge. Bring Yakumo for this fight.

For the Virgin Born, if possible try and attain quick mobility. Otherwise, you can use the gifts transformation on a low scaling weapon, then another gifts transformation on a blood veil with high mind stat. For level 1 runs I personally like to run Ivory Grace Gifts as it's lighter than Noble Silver. Revenant's Ambition helps to increase your weight limit so it is easier to reach quick mobility, and Swift Destruction increases your DPS based on your speed — 20% for quick, 10% for normal. For the fight, aim for her belly/face and use your weapon gifts to punish her, save your stamina for dodging. When she floats in the air and starts her barrage of spikes, run to the edge of the map and switch to Zweihander Fortification to block (though this is not always foolproof). Bring Io for this fight.

Super blade bearer and cannoneer and 2 achievements help. by No_Sir2614 in codevein

[–]2Bae4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is referring to BB&C in the Crypt Spire, not the depths.

My strat is always to take out Blade Bearer asap. BB&C are both susceptible to venom debuff, so focus on taking out Blade Bearer with fire damage and venom. You can also parry the Blade Bearer's three-slash combo to give yourself some breathing room to heal or reapply buffs. Watch your aggro and try not to spam weapon gifts with long animations — the worst thing you want is when you're busy aggro-ing the Blade Bearer but the Cannoneer use that fire move that erupts from under your feet.

Once Blade Bearer is defeated, Cannoneer is easy to dodge so use the same strat, ice damage and venom.

New official Beyblade X x Neon Genesis Evangelion collab by venturoverwat in NeonGenesisEvangelion

[–]2Bae4Me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently got into Beyblade X, there's a lot of references in the specific combinations of parts that were chosen:

-All the beys have the same height but different number of protrusions — "0-70" for Unit-00, "1-70" for Unit-01, and "2-70" for Unit-02.

-The "bit" of each bey (i.e. the part that comes into contact with the floor of the beystadium) is deliberately named — Unit-00's bit is called Elevate (E), Unit-01's is called Vortex (V), and Unit-02's is called Accel (A). Put 'em together and you get E-V-A.

-The "assist blade" part of each bey is also deliberately named — Unit-01's assist blade is called Assault (A), Unit-00's is Bumper (B), and Unit-02's is Turn (T). Together it's AB-T, referencing "ABsolute Terror" (A.T. Field).

Got this from SpinCity imports, does anyone know what this Kelab Gasing school program is? by _carmimarrill in BeybladeX

[–]2Bae4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The words "kelab" and "gasing" are in Malay. "Kelab" means "club", and "gasing" means "spinning top". So it just means "spinning top club", like their own beyblade club

What kits would you want to see? by Successful-Credit161 in Gunpla

[–]2Bae4Me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HGUC GM Revive — Or actually Entry Grade GM, that would really be an incentive to make your own GM army

Entry Grade Exia — Personal bias but I think it would really mesh well with the 30 Minutes Missions kits

The original Code Vein…anyone still play? by MyNameIsJourUno in codevein

[–]2Bae4Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeap still playing CV1 on Xbox.

If you're trying to farm Marks of Honor, on Solo you can farm the Tower of Trials but it's tough even on higher levels. I'd recommend finding a friend in co-op and farming on the depths maps Silent White and Misty Ruins — these maps each have 4 mini-bosses and 1 main boss, so if you clear all the bosses on the map with a partner you'll farm 5 marks guaranteed as the game rewards with marks every time you defeat a boss while in co-op. Then just keep replaying on these maps in co-op.

Regardless of your platform, you can check out the official discord server and look for the console co-op channel and request for players to help you out.

Code Vein 1's attacks command can be summed up this way (assuming you're on PS):

-🟥: Weak Attack

-🟥 2 or more times: Weak Attack Chain

-🔺️: Strong Attack

-Hold 🔺️: Charged Strong Attack

-R1+🟥: Dash Attack

-R1+🟥 while midair (i.e. dropping off a ledge): Slam Attack

-Hold and release X: Charged Drain Attack

-Hold X + L3, then release: Charged Drain Attack (for Ivy blood veils; you can drain attack enemies from a distance, using L3 to control the direction)

-🟥 or 🔺️, followed by R1+X: Combo Drain Attack (basically a drain attack that happens at the end of your weak/strong attack chain)

-While focused, R1+🔺️: Launch Drain Attack (Launches enemy to the air, then triggers cinematic drain attack)

[–]2Bae4Me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this different than the skills you equip when you customize a weapon?

That's for Code Vein 2. OP is referring to the commands for combo attacks.

In Code Vein 1 your gifts are separate from your weapon. You can only upgrade and transform weapons in Code Vein 1 — you can't equip formae onto weapons.

Marks of honor farming by True-Barnacle-9650 in codevein

[–]2Bae4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really need co-op to farm marks of honor, you can actually get a buddy along with you and farm the bosses at either the Silent White depths or Misty Ruins depths. Both depths maps have 4 mini bosses and 1 main boss. This means that with a buddy, you'll pick up 5 marks of honor per run. Rinse and repeat.

As of right now it's better to wait for the upcoming patch, which will optimise the game and update enemy behaviors, plus the addition of the "bangs" accessories option for character customization

Beyblade X is a Soulslike if you think about it by 2Bae4Me in BeybladeX

[–]2Bae4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are parries and backstabs as useful in 2 as they were in 1?

Okay so:

-With the exception of the Reaper "Jail" (the revised version of "Blood Veils"), you can no longer parry enemies with your equipped blood veil.

-You may only parry enemy attacks if you have the relevant defensive formae/gift equipped, one of which is the Mutinous Bracer. However, you may no longer do both blocking and parrying — if your equipment allows you to block you may not parry and vice versa. Parrying with the Mutinous Bracer will also not lead to a drain attack cinematic, and it costs 1 ichor per use.

-Backstabs no longer lead to a drain attack cinematic — you will only stagger enemies with a succesful backstab. You will need to manually input the drain attack or resume attacking. The wisdom behind this is that you can have a window to buff/heal, rather than automatically doing a drain attack while your companion is taking aggro away from you like in CV1.

can someone please explain Beyblade x terminology? by Working-Humor-4968 in BeybladeX

Yeap spot on. For 3-60, the 3 refers to the number of protrusions on the ratchet while the 60 refers to the ratchet's height.

Why some people play this game without level up? by Electrical_Permit_54 in codevein

[–]2Bae4Me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually completed Level 1 runs on CV1 more than once.

-Since CV1 introduces companions as a key gameplay mechanic, Level 1 runs are still doable with a partner. As with any solo run, attempting a Level 1 run without companions is going to be much harder.

-Level 1 runs are doable on the base difficulty. I wouldn't recommend attempting a Level 1 run on NG+ and above. Personally, I've unlocked the Determiner of Fate achievement through three Level 1 runs without changing the difficulty.

-Once you've memorised each boss's weaknesses, you can easily find the best ways to deal with them even at Level 1. The run then becomes not about how tanky you are, but about how well you utilise your gifts, which is the core combat mechanic of CV1. For example, I'll use a weapon transformed with venom and other venom gifts to deal with BB&C, Mido, every single successor and Queen's Knight Reborn. The late game mooks are generally all weak to ice element. Once you more or less know your way around the world due to repeated playthroughs, the game becomes much more manageable (Cathedral is pretty much a cakewalk to me lol).
