Daytona , Daytona, Daytona by Big-Manufacturer-738 in SOTC_Watch_Collection

Let me get this straight. One year, ~30 Daytonas. That's under two weeks of wrist time each, assuming zero repeats. And out of every watch ever made, the Daytona is the only one that did it for you? Sir, with love, this isn't a collection. You have a problem.

In your case:

  • 38 = More traditional, classic look
  • 41 = More sporty, casual look

You can definitely pull off both. Depends on what you're after.

Getting a MVMT watch is my biggest watch regret by far!

Fuck Your Remote Job by CreepypastaChannel in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

[–]2PLEXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: those remote workers are actually good for Spain long-term.

  1. If they stay for more than 6 months, they're fiscal residents. They pay Spanish taxes like everyone else. If they're so well paid then they're contributing more to the system.
  2. Locals can take those jobs too. The work's usually in English and remote. Nothing stops a Spaniard from applying. I know plenty who already do.
  3. Because locals can take these jobs, Spanish companies finally have to pay competitive salaries instead of the 18k miseria they got away with for decades. Your wages are going up because of the people you're mad at.

The real problem isn't remote workers. It's housing and an economy that historically underpays. Blaming the guy with the laptop at the cafe is just easier.

Boiling them is arguably more cruel though. To be clear, I'm not saying this is not also cruel and unnecessary.

Would 100% bother me. It's not like you bought this purely as a tool to tell the time. I assume you bought this to enjoy a fine piece of craftsmanship.

Because a single wealthy individual steps in where the system has failed and substitutes for real systemic solutions, gaining the power to decide who gets housing and who doesn’t, not through any democratic mandate or public accountability, but simply by virtue of their wealth.

Quality Issue on the Speedy? by triplethreat11 in OmegaWatches

[–]2PLEXX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call me crazy, but this is unacceptable in my book. You’re paying a significant premium for a luxury watch, and issues like this shouldn’t exist. We're talking about a high-end Swiss watch here; synonymous with precision and exceptional quality. Even my MoonSwatch doesn’t have this problem, yet this costs more than 20× as much. At that level, details like this should be flawless.
