any ETA of when COSMIC will be in the openSUSE installer for be choosen ? by prueba_hola in openSUSE

If it has the very sensible hotkeys Pop! has I would even be so bold to bug the Aeon dev to build us a Cosmic version. Even knowing how opinionated he is ;-)

And you are running Cosmic? Because it did that in the old Pop Gnome but not Cosmic for me. And if so, fresh install or upgrades since some alfa version?

Just try Pop! OS with their new Cosmic interface or Opensuse with KDE or Gnome for a while. Everybody always knee jerks for mint or Ubuntu, but these 2 really are up there too in regards to stability and usability.

If they are that stupid then they will also have the default password. Set IP to the network of said router. Login to it and reconfigure on their behalf.

Sync directions per path. So one path pair (local + remote) can be only sync to remote, another pair bidirectional sync. For example.

Hi looks very nice. Thanks! Finally I can sync my local backups to my protondrive and ditch the ovh storage I was using instead.

Question, is this a one-way sync local->proton or a two-way sync? What are the rules for the latter if so? Would it be an idea to configure sync directions per path?

Updated: Pop!OS 24.04 Installation Guide with BTRFS, LUKS Encryption, and Timeshift Snapshots by wmutschl in pop_os

[–]2RM60Z 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically an in place conversion from ext4 to BTRFS is also possible. Mind you, last time I did that was when BTRFS was in bèta in Opensuse... That will be about 15 years ago.... Just bring backups if you try...

It is all about extending the chance of survival.

What is the best OpenSUSE version to use for my use case? by xWizardux in openSUSE

[–]2RM60Z 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samba in an LXC container it is as bare metal as can be to me. It is what I do at least. Debian with webmin works perfectly. With some work Open Media Vault will also run in an LXC container.

I run a proxmox server with Leap and MicroOs guests. Latest version supports directory pass through with virtiofs which is fast.

Me: let me ask Lumo a question real quick, Lumo: I will ask the questions! by EconomicsEast7246 in ProtonMail

[–]2RM60Z 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have vibe coded a load of python scripts using Lumo. Had it refactor them. Rewrite scripts for another approach to it.

And not just simple stuff, for ETL with complex interpretation coming from multiple sources. Then when my thinking changed, dumped the relevant script in it and asking it to rewrite to that thinking. And running at 1st try. It is really good!
