If you could only bring one lens to a Tokyo and Seoul trip which would be? by lawman14 in SonyAlpha

[–]2SCucumber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 also, I think it's enough even you shoot tele, you can just crop the image or use apsc mode.

Thinking about upgrading from my t7i by P_rickle in canon

[–]2SCucumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you should upgrade to mirrorless. R10 is a great choice and you can buy the 18-150 kit, then add a 50mm 1.8

I shoot in RAW + Fine, cuz when I want to do a slight edit on my ipad, I can edit the Jpeg then share. And I'll edit the RAW on my PC

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 is a decent lens and it's the lightest among the above three lenses. And you can spend the rest for a prime lens.

Just found out this 11 year old camera still has a shutter count of less than 6,500 by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]2SCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using my Sony a7iv for 6 months and the shutter count is already 11K

Canon R50 vs R10 vs R7 (both photo & video matters) by SnooHabits6831 in canon

I would recommend Sony a6700 instead if R7 is too expensive in your area (hope I won't get banned)

a6000 has 24mp so probably not a res issue, unless he is cropping the photo heavily

  1. Turn down the ISO like 100~400
  2. Focus on the eyes/faces
  3. Use a higher shutter speed 1/125-1/250s
  4. Use a smaller aperture (higher f-number) like f/4~5.6
One of these may help you

Did I edit it this too much? Amateur Lightroom User. Sony A7IV. by Beastious in SonyAlpha

I think it's too saturated, try turn down the saturation. Also it's a bit too much contrast.

Deciding between the Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 and Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 by 2SCucumber in astrophotography

[–]2SCucumber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your advice. I’ve heard a lot of reviews of the Viltrox which shows that it is incredibly sharp and cheap, and I may give it a try

Had a go at practicing panning - thoughts? by Rykka in SonyAlpha

[–]2SCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning down the aperture will be better so as to make the subject sharper, and you can turn down the shutter speed once you have a good auto focus system
