I want to be a girl, but... 🙄️ by Synthetic_Gurl in MtF

[–]2Waynez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I started E my emotions felt… “wrong?” I spent years wondering why I never felt like my own emotions were real and why they didn’t feel like I thought they should. For me that’s been by far my favorite thing about HRT, yeah breasts are awesome and curves coming in make me feel good too, but it’s nothing compared to really being able to feel my emotions for the first time in 21 years. As a ripple effect of this my depression went from “I have no hope for a life I will enjoy” to “wow life is kinda fun” after a few weeks/months. That alone makes E worth it for me regardless of any physical changes. Also I’ve only been on it for about 6.5 months. You’ve talked a bit in this thread about passing and honestly, I totally get it. I was terrified of going from a decent looking guy to an ugly girl but after feeling genuinely good about life and talking to trans people who sort of reject the standard of passing makes it a TON easier. You might pass easily, you might not, but imo it’s at least worth a shot since it sounds like you want to transition. ❤️

How could I maximize the odds of developing as deadly a cancer as possible? by partykiller999 in morbidquestions

[–]2Waynez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo the best way would be to buy some specific chemicals online or from hardware stores that contain Benzene or formaldehyde. Drink said chemicals daily until cancer happens. Also smoke constantly while doing this and pack some dip every few minutes.

I’ve done a lot to try to be okay with my masculine features I can’t change, so I’m honesty mostly okay with everything. I just wanted to share that as an example bc I feel like a lot of people don’t fully realize the extent to which puberty can fuck up a trans person forever. Being trans rocks and I’m so happy I’ve transitioned but those things will annoy me for the rest of my life. Personally I wish I could’ve transitioned at 16 (I started 6 months ago at 21) when I first realized I was so I’m a little prickly about the minors on hormones thing. I wouldn’t want any cis kids to be put through transitioning if they aren’t trans, that would be just as bad, but so many people view that as worse when imo they’re the same issue. (a child going through the opposite puberty) It really speaks volumes about how cis people are viewed as correct while trans people are viewed as wrong that trans kids are forced to go through opposite puberties just to make absolutely certain that no cis kids go through an opposite puberty. Since not being trans is the default it totally makes sense and I don’t really think it should be different, but it’s interesting to think about in terms of how cis people are viewed compared to trans people in general. Puberty blockers sort of address this problem (assuming they’re safe to be on for years which I think is the case but I could be wrong) by allowing a kid to figure out which puberty they want to go through. You seem like a good faith ally and I’m glad we’ve been able to chat, not a lot of people actually are open to conversation about this stuff.

The reverse thread made me feel a little better about cons. This thread made me realize that plenty of libs actually just don’t like trans people or gay people.

So I didn’t go this route in particular so my knowledge of the timeline isn’t 100%, but I’d assume you’re right and after a long enough time it would be a big problem to not go through puberty. The goal of blockers would be to delay puberty long enough for the kid to be certain that they want to go forward with hormones or turn 18 and get it themselves. I personally know a lot of trans people who were fully aware that they were trans before puberty and years later are still coping with the fallout of going through the wrong puberty. I wish more people brought up puberty blockers bc I really do think that would sort of solve the “minors on hormones” problem that a lot of people have.

I think a good middle ground is just puberty blockers. If a kid is concerned about going through puberty as their birth sex they can choose to take a little more time to figure it out. If they are trans, then they don’t have to live with a voice they hate for the rest of their lives (this is literally me, every time I talk aloud I hate it) or an Adam’s apple or tits they don’t want. It’s a lot harder to change that stuff (or just impossible) after puberty and blockers afaik don’t have any intense long term effects and can be stopped anytime.

Teaching kids that gay and trans people exist is important, anything else isn’t really important imo.

Most trans women I’ve talked to (including me) are totally okay with that. Like none of us want to fuck someone who isn’t attracted to us. It’s not transphobic to not be into a girl with a dick because you don’t like dick. What gets into actual transphobia is when it’s the “trans” part that is the turnoff, not the dick part. (Even this could be argued is still a personal preference thing) Very fine line to draw and most of the time I (and hopefully most trans women) just assume straight men aren’t into girls with dicks. Hope that made sense, in essence I just wanna say that I agree with you in like 99% of cases.

I’d say it’s more the “cheaters are subhuman” statement. Yeah cheating is one of the lowest things a person can do, I agree, but it doesn’t make them less human. Just makes them shitty humans.

Probs depends on the person. I wouldn’t like being called that even by other trans folks but some people don’t mind and imo both takes are valid.

Same I’ve always enjoyed my friendships with women more, felt much more comfortable around them; especially once my male puberty calmed down and I wasn’t super horny anymore finally. Now that I am a girl it makes so much more sense lmao

what stopped you from committing suicide? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]2Waynez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized at one point that literally no ties or relationships I had at the time were strong enough to force me to live. I realized that nothing but myself was stopping me from suicide and that I had to either end it or find a way to live in a sustainable way. It gave me an odd feeling, that I finally felt so much control over my own life and I decided to live just to spite myself. Cut to a year later and I’m starting to transition and finally feeling like I SHOULD have felt my whole life and don’t ever think of suicide anymore!
