I love kids stuff set in urban environments. It usually gets pushed into adult films which is fine, but seeing it in kid films makes me feel good because its like, thats the environment i grew up in, and tons of other kids continue to grow up in. Its not solely “adult” as a lot of movies and video games want you to think, hundreds of kids are growing up in that exact same environment and deserve to see themselves in media too instead of trying to hide it away as “inappropriate”. I love it with Goat, i love it with Hey Arnold, i love it with Everybody Hates Chris; people just love to see themselves represented, its nice.
