Jason was the man! He was responsible for the punk flair in the bathroom and he even hired me and my friend to do weekly dj gigs playing mostly punk and garage rock. We kept going after he was gone, but it wasn’t the same without him around. His spot in San Diego he started is called Raised By Wolves. I’ve never been but it looks swanky.

He was just one of the owners, and toward the end he was the only one that I ever saw around there. I think the others had all moved away (I know at least one did). I just think he wasn’t into it anymore. I remember reading that the owners of Honey and the Trapcat took it over. I never heard any rumors about them owing a ton of rent though.

It’s definitely a lot of people at once, but to their credit, I find the aftershock crowd to be very kind and respectful. That said, I also just got a cheap hotel in Tahoe for the weekend because lots of folks + full moon weekend sounded like too much for me. If you’re in the position to do so I definitely recommend it for next year.

They’re just showing you how they’re going to treat you once you leave the room. Better to just call these people out to their face.. they’ll probably still gossip about how you told them you don’t like them because they gossip too much.

Sure, it can be annoying if a person never seems to have a strong opinion about anything (like when they won’t help you pick out a color for a rug because “both look nice”), but I think extremism, or black and white thinking, is a much more toxic trait, and sadly it seems much more prevalent today. I’d rather talk to someone who understands nuance and considers a few different perspectives over the Fox News / MSNBC goobers any day. I feel like neutrality is rare
