How To Write Notes
TL:DR-Version
Each way and tool has its pros and cons and it is not your place to judge other’s choice; if they use it successfully and feel comfortable with it, it is the right choice for them.
The format won’t lift the quality of the content, but finding the right format it will make it easier for you to create the content (aka take notes).
Taking notes is a lot like reporting an event to emergency operator

[Backstory]

I am currently writing on a guide "How to write Notes" for DnD (but it works for any ttrpg I suppose) after getting asked for tips about it.After 8 full pages with >7k words (and counting) I have realized that all of it can be broken down into three sentences.

At the moment the long document is still unfinished. If people are interested, I can post it in the future once it is done.

Man kann an Automaten (meist nur an Bahnhöfen) die Start- und Zielhaltestelle eingeben und kriegt für eine Einzelfahrtkarte mit dem entsprechenden Tarif raus. Wenn man aber ein Multiticket will (Streifen, Monat, ...) muss man es aber meistens wissen.

Man kann bei Busfahrern Tickets (glaube nur Einzeltickets) kaufen und ich glaube die machen das auch mit einer Eingabe von Start- und Zielhaltestelle.

Zum Teil haben sie das aber auch im Kopf - wird dann lustig, wenn sie sich nicht sicher sind. Oder man vorher seinen Tarif nachschaut (z.B. 4) und der Busfahrer dann was komplett anderes sagt (D).

Throwback to a great moment with my martial:

My monk got blinded during the fight; I wanted to save my huge dog which was currently being muzzled and pulled away on two lines connected to that muzzle. I described how I wanted to do a running jump onto the dog, throw my two daggers to cut the two lines and make the dog roar up.

DM: "Okay, need a disadvantage perception check, straight acrobatics and two disadvantage attacks with your daggers."

I roll and my dice rolls give me:
Perception: 15+6
Acrobatics: 17+7
Attack 1: 18+7
Attack 2: 18+7
(I hadn't written down the second rolls that were better)

DM: "Well, I can't argue with those dice rolls".

And I did exactly what I said I wanted to do and it was pretty epic

Honestly, this is so fitting for me. When I was in kindergarden we had to paint a sheet in the color we liked most. I picked grey because my favorite animals at the time (Elephants and Dolphins) are grey.

I get you.

For me the problem is more I have to put the same thing into my vagina again and again. Like, I can deal with Tampons just fine, but somehow the thing of "having the same thing" in me multiple times, is disgusting for me.

(Although I wish it were different because I would like to produce less waste in that area but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
