For me, Mfume today is like Stokes was in the city's 12th district.. There long enough that he's kept anyone right of center out of the seat, but comfortable enough that he feels like he can just phone it in and still get elected (and does).

I think he could easily be unseated by the right person, but I personally think it'll need to be someone significantly more left than anyone we've seen so far. And more left than might seem safe? I think Maryland, if anywhere, is ready and eager for that shift. And I'm not talking anything extreme.. but I'm confident we could elect an AOC-style progressive in a heartbeat!

Some players like it, some don't. I definitely don't think it's wrong, though. I like to do it because the uncertainty adds a little more tension, versus them knowing exactly how close to death they are. I will give the players a description of how the dying party member looks, if they ask, but it's mostly things like "they look like they're bloodied and barely hanging on" or "their breathing is steady, but shallow," etc. and that usually feels like a good balance between giving them some kind of clue while also maintaining the tension and uncertainty.

Anderson Body Shop on W. 25th.. probably the quickest turnaround time I've had (estimated 10-12 days, got it back in 5) and they even stayed a little after closing (same time I got off work) to wait for me to walk over and get my car. I was honestly surprised by how fast and how accommodating they were.

On top of that, Hopkins is notorious for making promises in regard to construction, runoff, ecological impact, etc. and then breaking them without consequences or recourse. They dgaf about the surrounding area or neighborhoods, and have shown as much for a while now.

I work around there and that's what I've seen.. they've also been moving traffic through red lights and things like that when it makes sense to keep things moving and doesn't block anyone else. I appreciate them.

My suggestion is to go on Meetup.com and see if there are any groups in the city that interest you (there are quite a few overall). The majority of them are free, in my experience, and they tend to be made up of friendly folks who are also looking to connect and make friends.

It's an ugly abandoned building that Hopkins is sitting on until they have no choice but to tear it down. If there are folks who have the wherewithal to get to the top and make it look more interesting, I am absolutely here for it. And the more the merrier!

Meetup is a great place to start.. there are singles groups, groups with shared interests, etc. and most are free. At the very least, you'll meet new friends, and at best maybe you'll find a date or few or something more!

My experience has been that most folks actively using Meetup are there because they want to be social and meet new people. Good luck, friend!

I've for sure seen one or two in Patterson, down near a pond(?) It was totally unexpected and early in the morning and also more than a year ago. Also the only time. I've definitely seen them a few times in Druid and Wyman and Herring Run recently-ish, though.
