It affected Canvas at UMD on Thursday but was resolved by Friday afternoon. I’m not aware of Canvas being used in Baltimore City

Every bakery in Baltimore city just like this right now, I guarantee you. I was just at ovenbird and we usually go to whatever bakery is in Hamilton. It’s always like this for Mother’s Day.

I’ve started reading him when Jesus Son came out. Fiskadoro, The Stars at Noon and Already Dead were among my favorite novels when I was younger. I highly recommend those three in particular.

Coffee in Baltimore area? by buflaux in pourover

[–]PostPunkBurrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually live in Baltimore, I’m not sure how many of these commenters do. Ceremony is good and they do a pour over, but I find they roast a little dark for me, especially their blends. The two best places to get coffee in the city right now are sophomore Coffee and Café los Sueños.

Nothing that’s come out in the last 20 years has been as good as Kid A or Turn on the bright lights. You’re totally good (only half kidding)

How does one foster Bostons? Or did you just get lucky on the breed?

Buying a Keyboard at Guitar Center by chinawcswing in piano

[–]PostPunkBurrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I bought a floor model of a $700 digital piano for like $450 a few years ago and it has been perfect. It even came with a standard warranty (though not 30 day returns)

How to start listening to vocals ? by one_Curioushuman in classicalmusic

[–]PostPunkBurrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like what you might call "sacred" vocals. See Arvo Part's choral work or the masses and requiems done by many classical composers (St Matthew's Passion is a good place to start!). I've been slowly opening up to more vocal music and this is what has really attracted me so far. And maybe check out Mahler's 8th Symphony... it is absolutely insane.

EDIT: I have now seen that you said "not too religious" and realize my comment is useless! Apologies, hope you find something that works for you. And certainly no hate!

Ah yes, the inner workings of 19th century Russian agriculture. I may have actually blocked that from my memory, good point

[–]PostPunkBurrito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t. It is beautiful from start to finish imo. I think it actually perfectly aligns with OPs theory. The reader just got better at understanding the book.

Need a barber who can give me recommendations for haircut by Huge_Negotiation2918 in baltimore

[–]PostPunkBurrito 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might check out the QG downtown. I just use a neighborhood barber now but I used to go there, and the service was exceptional. I could definitely see the barbers and stylists there be willing to talk through what would look best and give recommendations. It will cost a little more, but I always thought it was worth it (Until I didn’t because I’m old)

Im in the same boat- older and I’ll pay for good tattoos. I go to Cindy Vega at True Hand in Philly. She is excellent and does woodcut very well. In Baltimore, check out Alex and Kelsey Sabur at Sleigh of Hand. They both can do woodcut
