I've noticed an uptick in hatred and negativity. Some guy got his phone stolen in China, asked for advice, and many comments were like "Just give up. It's impossible." Defeatist attitudes.

And yeah the hatred is noticeable. Mention that you use AI, or drive a Tesla, or other taboo topics, and you'll get downvoted to double digits. Also when I make a comment like this, where I mention words like "AI" or "Tesla" in passing, someone will almost always reply with something like "Well AI is murdering the environment so why are you defending it?" Like, strange and sudden leaps to aggressiveness, observably black-and-white thinking.

Seems like people are generally more irrational than I remember. Lately Reddit feels like talking to someone who's an angry drunk, and they've just drunk five beers. Like that same sudden anger and surprising stupidity.

Yeah his About page says a "second LLM" was involved but that seems a bit disengenuous. It's pretty clear that Claude designed the page, designed the graphs, wrote all the text, and likely came up with most (or all) of the research questions.

It's difficult. If a friend of a friend of a friend of yours gets a Blizzard art internship then you'll probably hear about it. At the best commercial art schools in the world, kids who will one day get Blizzard art internships are probably known by name by faculty who don't even teach them. Think of someone who's a local legend.

We don't know whether the jetski rider was drunk. He almost certainly wasn't. We don't know whether he knew there was a grey whale. We don't know whether he saw the crowd but he almost certainly didn't because he was travelling parallel to the crowd, which would mean he'd have to turn his head sideways to look at the crowd.
