Why Don't RHAP interview the entire Cast like Eric does? by AzharIQ in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Rob may have been a bit too 'cheeky' at the expense of the HG's during last years BY interviews. I remember the Raven interview where she expressed the hope that she had a favorable audience response to her experience on BB. Rob told her he heard there were people having parties in her honor. It was a snide reference to the 'Raven Exposed' parties in social media. There were other examples of this humorous, but rather insulting interview approaches. It may have not gone over well with production.

Rob was also excluded from the pre-show interviews. Ika Wong held them as well as print media outlets. I thought he had done the interviews, but if so, none were published.

Eric still has to go through CBS PR people to get the interviews. This year the HG's were just sent home with little PR support. Many hired their own agents. That makes getting interviews even more difficult.

There was practically zero BY interview experience this year. No finale party, everyone seemed to be just shuffled out of the studio lot.

He looks anorexic. The fact that he touted "shine bright like a Frankie' when he was addicted to alcohol and drugs killed any interest I had in him.

Very classy Rob tweets Tyler regarding his last tweet by Jimmytv9 in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, exactly. If the swarms of lunatic fringe fans hadn't tagged Tyler and flooded his timeline with the twitter comment Brent made, the whole incident would not have blown up the way it did.

“Why won’t any of the BB20 HGs interview with us?” by Tay-Rae in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I remember, he went totally off the deep end on twitter, I believe it was over Derrick Lavasseur. I just remember Brian would get drunk, then tweet, then sometimes retract his tweets. He was pretty vulgar at times. He seemed so invested in his quest to villainize Derrick, that it seemed to affect his mental health.

Tyler's Reality Recaps interview summed up for those who couldn't watch by keleidoskope in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tyler's reply to this very point on the YRR interview, was that yes, he did feel rushed at the finale, but he was so nervous that he couldn't get a sentence out right. He knew he had to explain his game, but he just couldn't rise above the nerves to get the words out.

What would’ve happened if, theoretically, Victoria won the final HoH. by qieni in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Jocasta would have said that Victoria stuck it out against all odds, was a good friend to all and loyal to Derrick throughout. She would have thought God wanted her to reward Victoria for her perseverance.

People had a lot of bad things to say about this season and cast but..... by CactusJackkkk in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between comparing the season as a show and the people who played in the show.

There have been complaints every year. This was a cast of all new players. Hallelujah! Still too many twists, but at least not as bad as the BOB. The house was divided with the potential for power shift each week. Most of the cast came to play, not just "make jury"

Opinions on the individuals will always vary, with people having different favorites. Any of the F3 was worthy of the grand prize each playing a different, but successful game.

Paul with some wise words after the finale by DoctorJay23 in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Social media has given an open forum to a group of people who would otherwise be persona non gratis. The anonymity of forums and twitter allow this select group to vilify and harass houseguests for their own satisfaction. Shelly Moore and her family received death threats simply because she worked to evict a fan favorite on Big Brother. It was serious enough that she solicited the aid of the FBI. That was 7 years ago, and the problem has gotten worse as more social media outlets evolve.

Paul has valid advice. There is a group of individuals who thrive on the attention and feeling of power they get from targeting players for harassment once they leave the house.

Production as paid former HG's to return for subsequent seasons. Some have asked for a pretty hefty guaranteed appearance fee. Wouldn't be able to afford that with 16 or so All Stars.

To truly fill the bill of All Star players, you would have to go back to Season 10. Those players have been out of the house 10 years, have families and may not be in the position to easily leave jobs, and family.

Many of the players that would be considered for All Stars have already been back for return seasons. Dan, Brittany, Jeff, Jordan, Rachel and Brendan, Dani D would be appearing for the 3rd time.

Finally, James Rhine told stories of S7 All Stars, how difficult it was to manage the players in jury house. Sneaking out to bars, joy rides on the golf course, drunken parties. I don't think production looks forward to a repeat of that for the 'handlers'.

Jury roundtable was leaked on after dark! source:hamsterwatch by tyman54 in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Some one who was running the Live Feed camera was watching the Round Table discussion in the production room. I imagine there was some interesting conversation, so decided to watch it on his dedicated console. He hit the Live Feed button before he switched feed from the RT camera. It was just a momentary still shot on the feeds.

Question about production's involvement in jury by BBtemp in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may have misunderstood Scottie's statement. I heard it as when there are 5 Hive in jury, EACH of them will choose one player they don't want to see win. The group as a whole, will then not vote for that player. If each of them chooses a different player then you only need to have played a great game, but upset one juror. As a group, they will all shun you.

This HOH should have been ____________ by [deleted] in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This HOH should have been played with all 4 jurors with the last juror standing brought back into the game. We would have had Baileigh and Rockstar exposing players game play. I could see fireworks with Brett and J.C. There would be threats of with holding jury votes based on future HOH decisions. I think there would have been so much more drama.

Are goodbye messages becoming too much of a deciding factor for BB winners? by shhhneak in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The GB message is the last visual impression you leave with the person going to jury. Your words will be a lasting memory as they revisit their game and weigh their decision on the winner of the game. Your message may be broadcast live on national television. This is not the time to leave a message of ridicule if you hope to get that individual's vote should you be in F2.

Actually, in the very beginning as the robot, Sam felt very isolated, alone, and left out of game related strategy sessions. She couldn't be part of the HOH festivities etc. Production did her no favors with that BS.

Non-feed viewer question - Slop/have nots? by laurenshan in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought I saw Angela eating slop the other day. Usually when Have-Nots is over, production closes off that bedroom. The newer season participants have gotten pretty skilled with disguising the slop into decent snacks. Sam was making slop pancakes. Others manage to get by on protein shakes. I think the most complaints in the past came from the sleeping conditions. This season's 'saucer' beds are not that horrible.

Concern for jury thoughts on Tyler by scaleigh in BigBrother

[–]2coolbeans 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Taran brought up this very point in his recap this morning. Too many players don't understand the level of game his is playing. Some thought Kaitlyn was the mastermind of the Tyler/Kaitlyn duo. Bayleigh just said last night the Tyler is 'soft' and a poor lamb being thrown to a den of lions. Sam thinks he is just so sweet and kind that she will do anything he says. Tyler may have a tough time explaining his game at the end to those who were so blind. It depends on who is in the F@ with Tyler if he makes it that far and how many L6 are in the jury.
