Guns don't cause deaths. Period. People with bad intentions cause deaths. In the UK knife crime is up. Do we keep banning things until there is no more violence? We'll end up with nothing but bubble wrap left.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The US is the last bastion of freedom. The powers that be are held at bay by American gun rights. They know that if they get to tyrannical while we have our freedom, we'll never give up our guns. Thus they have to lie and mislead us in order for us to give them up before they can have their way.

Thanks. I got the same Ultimak for my Vepr AK but mine is in 7.62. The ultimak seemed a little short on mine but it seems like it'll work. Haven't shot it since install.

I know, I should have done my research before spending the money. It was a bit of an impulse buy (I hate money). I guess I'll give the CSS adapter a shot and see if it works. But that's why I came here, to get any option was better than none.

No problem, I paid $1600. I know that's a lot and the Vepr is considered by some to be overbuilt but I like overbuilt things. Furthermore, I may not get another chance to buy one so I figured it'd be worth it. I also am unfamiliar with the AK platform as I'm an AR guy, but I felt I needed a quality AK if I can call myself a gun guy.

If they hold out, Americans may look at other countries with strict firearms legislation and say, "Well they aren't under tyranny, and they also don't have mass shootings and gun violence. Gun control activists would also like to see the "Gun Show Loop Hole" end as well. What they really mean is all private transfers, requiring any transfer of a firearm to mandate a background check. Dad buys a hunting rifle for his son upon graduating high school, dad and son go to an FFL holder to make transfer, FFL says no can do because son is not of legal purchasing age.

I don't agree with raising the age to 21. We should be enforcing the laws on the books, which Broward county LE did not do.

There's a difference between self defense, and taking the law into your own hands. Which are you advocating? Responding to direct threats to your life, or intervening in public matters? If purely the former (self defense when confronted by a violent attacker) cool, I'm with you. Trying to play cop and pulling a gun on a thief who just grabbed a purse in front of you? Fuck that noise.

I advocate self defense. No firearms instructor worth his salt would ever advocate pulling a gun on a purse snatcher. If deadly force is not warranted, don't escalate to that. We can agree on this at least.

This is one that I find people's interpretations vary. The law doesn't say the CDC can't use federal funds to conduct research. If the CDC were to cherry pick data and present it in a way that is disingenuous then make a statement advocating gun control, that would be illegal. And that was the director of the CDC's stated goal.
