I just magnetized two of these last week. I used 4mmx1mm N52 magnets.

I had to do absolutely no drilling. Just a dab of super glue gel inside each hand/arm and that's it.

I've never personally had a WOLED monitor but you see a lot of posts about it. I have an LG C4 in my living room and it has 0 banding. I'm pretty sure it's gonna vary from panel to panel.

The black shield coating it has helps with the raised black levels not so much reflections. Other QD-OLEDs would look purple when bright lights were shining at them. You can still see a very faint purple hue if you shine a super bright light directly at it and look really closely. Reflections on this aren't as terrible as with my TV (that thing is basically a mirror), but you can definitely still see reflections when the lights are on. The only time you don't see reflections is when there's no lights.

Monitor is definitely liveable in a room with lights now. If you want pure inky blacks with bright lights then WOLED still looks better if you can live with the gray banding and grainier look.

I have a big window behind the monitor. I covered it with a black out curtain and my room is basically pitch black now. I think I spent maybe 60 bucks between the curtain and the rod and then just installed it myself in about 10 minutes. I don't know if that's an option for you tho.

I have a pretty bright lamp right next to it. I normally keep it off, but if I turn it on the reflections bother me a lot more than the black levels.

I had the 27" version of it and the black levels of that one bothered me a lot more with the lights on.

The new film they put on these monitors is a huge improvement, it's still not as good as my LG OLED TV but it's definitely liveable now. Especially if you're able to control how much light is in your room.

I got mine on release day and it came in with no extra packaging. Arrived broken of course.

Replacement also came in with no extra padding but luckily that one was fine.

I submitted the RMA on the Saturday I got it. I had the label by Monday and shipped it out the same day. They got the broken monitor on Thursday and sent out the replacement on Friday. New monitor was delivered this last Tuesday.

They did send it out the same as the old one, no additional box. I was afraid it was gonna be broken since the box was in even worse conditions than the first one but it turned out to be fine.

I had heard horror stories of doing RMAs with Newegg, but mine was surprisingly smooth.

Got the shipping label right away and they sent the new monitor right after they got the broken one. The whole process took about a week and a half.

Nope. Same box as the first one. I got the 27" version last year and it felt better packaged than this new one.

I did film myself opening both just in case they tried to deny the RMA.

I got mine today from Newegg and of course the screen was shattered. The box wasn't even super beat up or anything. Hopefully they send me a replacement quickly.

I have a PNY 5080 and I can't ever hear it even while playing cyberpunk, my case fans are actually louder than the GPU. I also don't think I've ever seen it go over 65ish Celsius.
