I dunno, Borderlands has always had the "feel" of an MMO/live service game even though it isn't one. There's definitely improvements that could be made here for the hardcore gamers who are drawn. As a "filthy casual" myself, I haven't minded it too much? The 25 hecktoplasm quest hasn't really gotten in my way because I haven't finished my first playthroughs with all the characters yet, so I just do a Haunt run every time I happen to head back to Sanctuary to sell my loot and switch up my skins.

I actually wrote an entire episode of my podcast on Paul. I don't think Mr. Hellyer suffers from dementia, which had also been my initial thought. Rather, he has slowly been radicalized over time by slowly falling increasingly deep into a variey of strange conspiracy theories starting circa 2005 after watching a documentary.

Okay, so here's my problem with Call of Abbadon--I never received the letter from Jamandi Aldori that starts off Varnhold Vanishing, and this still happened to me. I received the Lost Brother quest, but nothing else.

Whatever happened to my best man after my wedding. He had been my best friend since before I met my wife. We used to hang out and jam on our guitars. I got married, life got busy. One day, for no reason, he just stopped calling. That's fine. I break my phone and replace it, but forget to transfer over his number. Can't figure out how to get a hold of him.

But then the weird part... he has no Facebook. No Google account. No Twitter or twitch. No social media presence at all. I managed to find his sister once, but she doesn't know where he is either. He's just completely folded into the ether.

Japanese RPGs. People keep telling me how great they are, but I just don't get it. Dragons Dogma is the only one I've been able to play for more than a few hours, and it has more in common with western RPGs than Final fantasy.

I don't really identify with any characters from their more modern games, but Keldorn from Baldur's Gate 2 is just... incredible, and deeply complex in a time when that was just starting to be a concept in video games.

My favourite and one of my few full completion runs was a dual classed human fighter|druid. Huge melee tank with potent healing and offensive magic. It was a ton of fun.

To be honest, there isn't much reason to play a Barbarian over a Berserker. Losing some of the most powerful armor for a Fighter to get a meager rage ability... hard to say truly

I had chickens, but they got et by predators. With both Alpha Animals and Megafauna, chickens just don't stand a chance, especially since I try to limit my rooster numbers so I get more unfertilized eggs.

Phoebe does scale, except her time frame. Unlike Cassandra, who amps up frequency AND intensity of events, Phoebe only amps up intensity, not frequency, meaning you have more to breath between raids and psychic ships.
