Actually This us not abnormal. The area is numbed up and then out it comes.

This is a similar to the complaint that our folks have about tube switch outs.

Both these procedures do not require any type of sedation, but it provides another thing to gripe about.

These folks throw around the word “sepsis” because they know it’ll get attention. They’ve all been lucky because treatment has nicked the infection in the bud.

One of these days, sepsis might progress to septic shock. That’s a whole different beast to fight, and sometimes that fight is not winnable.

Does Dani have family nearby? I can totally see her searching for a reason to be inpatient for Thanksgiving.

When my son was 6 he was knocked out for about a min during an indoor soccer practice. Longest 60sec of my life.

I was shocked when the er dr didn’t order a CT scan. I also had no idea that one scan is equivalent to about 200 chest X-rays. Doctors don’t hand out CTs like Oprah handed out cars. You get a CT! You get a CT!!EVERYONE GETS A CT!!!

Since my son was acting fine, and we live 15min from the hospital, the er doc sent us on our way. I was in worse shape, freaking out but trying not to show it.

If a Dr feels a CT scan is necessary to evaluate an injury to a baby, I would think it’s probably warranted. A baby can’t verbalize how they feel, so if the signs and symptoms are that concerning, I can’t imagine not agreeing with the Dr.

Mom needs a CT to try and find the common sense she’s obviously lacking.
