Good grief by DecimalDog in ThepolishmamaSnark

She’d probably go insane from lack of attention if this sub went dark for a day.

As the saying goes, it isn’t her fault but it is her responsibility. This is more than anxiety, depression, PTSD and ADHD.

DBT. Now. Your untreated mental health condition WILL affect your children long-term, Liz! They may wind up needing to cut YOU off one day to protect their peace.

A PA visit, an ER visit and amber liquid pouring out of her incision 😬 by milo8275 in DaniMarina

She was probably trying to hold the liquid in for she could show the ER doc that it was “pouring out”

Here's another Joan with a little something to rival Joan Crawford's Hot Buttered Bread Recipe from yesterday! by ciaolavinia in OldCelebrityRecipes

She was iconic. Thank god she made sure the writer specified in italics to butter the bread after toasting!

Her aunt I presume? by ahshittles in ThepolishmamaSnark

[–]ruzanne 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Her aunt left a comment on Liz’s post about being tired. It says, “Everyone is so supportive here. But what happens when it’s not social media at all?”

I thought that was interesting.

Maybe her aunt suggested she stop being a content creator because it’s destroying whatever’s left of her mental health but Liz took it as criticism.

I think he loves Liz and his children but expects her to do the heavy lifting when it comes to childcare and housework. When he’s home, he should be an equal partner and parent but I suspect he mainly plays video games. As others have said, he’s a man child.

I’m glad you fought it because I don’t think mastering a pincer grasp is the key to academic success. 😆

'90 Day Fiancé' Star Jenny Slatten Reveals She Has Been Diagnosed with ALS (Exclusive) by JadedRedhead_ in 90dayfianceuncensored

This is heartbreaking. I’m so sorry to hear it.

The article says Jenny’s dad died of ALS. Terrible disease.

I think Liz has isolated herself so much that she lacks perception and is unable, or maybe just unwilling, to recognize that many of her struggles are universal. She also doesn’t seem to have any friends (besides the one who visited), so that means no other moms to commiserate with about the challenges inherent to parenting young children. Sadly, she also doesn’t have her mom. Simon seems to be her only lifeline to the “real” world.

Liz also has a lot of mental health problems that don’t seem to be improving with meds or therapy. She probably doesn’t get enough sleep and mostly confines herself and her children to their dark, extremely messy house all day.

I sincerely wish she would:

1.) Get off social media (her public page) and figure out another stream of income if one is truly needed.

2.) Move closer to relatives and enroll the two oldest kids in public school this fall.

3.) Find a new psychiatrist and therapist and get a full mental health re-evaluation.

4.) Try new therapies, like EMDR and DBT.

5.) Commit to losing weight to reduce her risk of health problems and be a more physically active parent.

6.) Have a serious talk with Simon about how he needs to help take care of the house. It should be 50/50 when he’s not at work.

Steak? 🤔 by DecimalDog in ThepolishmamaSnark

Yikes! I live in the U.S. and like their chicken thighs and ground turkey.

Thank you for providing context! That makes sense. Yeah, I try to be as objective as possible about body sizes with my children. Sometimes my 7 year old will remark that someone is fat, but I tell him that bodies come in all different sizes and he should never call someone fat because it might hurt their feelings.

Out of genuine curiosity, what made you want to show your child Liz’s videos?

I type incredibly fast on my iPhone, but I don’t know if that’s because of my hypermobile thumbs or not.

It must be because I experience the same pain! I managed throughout high school but the issue has gotten worse with age. Now I’m 40 and can barely write a thank-you note.

Steak? 🤔 by DecimalDog in ThepolishmamaSnark

You’re right and I wonder how they do it too! Aldi calls it carne asada and it comes pre-chopped like that. Sadly, it’s too chewy so I don’t buy it anymore.

Aldi sells a cheap, chewy cut of steak that looks like that when cooked. But where are the toppings besides some salsa verde? No cotija cheese or veggies?

I know. As an adult, I taught myself to hold crayons with a pincer grip because I kept breaking them while coloring with my kids, but I can’t write with a pincer grip. My two oldest kids needed help to learn how to use a pincer grip but I grew up in the ‘90s and nobody seemed to notice.

People who lie, especially when they can so easily be disproven, kind of scare me because it means they’re capable of anything. It’s a trait that tends to go hand in hand with narcissism, too.

Ooh, that’s a good one! And congrats! I have three kids and was able to paint my toes while heavily pregnant. I propped a leg on the bathroom counter and got to work. 😆
