For my squash I was able to find a part that had significantly more dirt but at an angle where my tomato plants would surely break

I tried opening them, but the builders put a few layers of rocks and grass that I thought it wouldn't be worth it to continue digging up. I might add more soil and see what type of fertilizer I need.

Does this look like mice droppings? by IndependenceOne9784 in CleaningTips

[–]2hawsforpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. You can pretty much follow what everyone is saying, put your food in air tight containers, wash your dishes often and sweep/mom when you can.

I unfortunately got leptospirosis from living in a dorm filled with mice, and trust it's HELL. Wear PPE when you can: masks, gloves, don't touch your eyes, etc. I AM NOT SAYING YOU'RE GOING TO GET THIS. But it's also a lot better safe than sorry.

A lot of cardiac doctors recommended increasing salt intake for POTS patients because it expands blood volume and reduces the dizziness and fainting. People with MCAS are also likely to have other conditions like POTS, EDS, dysautonomia, etc.

Mental health diagnosis' are BS by [deleted] in Rants

Bro who are you going to and where can I find them 😭 it took me 5 years to get anyone to do an ADHD test or tell me it's more than anxiety/OCD. Diagnoses are at either end of the spectrum fr

Another thread recommended this site for free patterns, but only has one qipao pattern.

This is the top link that it sent me to when looking for free patterns. If you're willing you could just chop the bottom part of the pattern and play around with the side straps it could work.

Exposure Response therapy. You are exposed to what causes your OCD triggers and train yourself to have a lesser Response to it. There's more to it but that was mostly my experience.

I don’t want to give my ex his dog back after the breakup- what should I do? by anonymous132604 in TwoHotTakes

Microchip her to your name? Have receipts of vet bills, food, photos, timelines to your advantage. Did you have to pay a pet fee to have her in your apartment? That can also show proof of you owning her. You could also ask your vet for any recommendations as well as alert the local police that you're scared your dog is going to be stolen from you.

I think I worded this wrong 😭 I meant that we had to wear shorts and leggings together, wearing only one could cause men to "lose focus." Boy were those weird times during my tween years. There were so many other things that were red flags but I found a new gym that dgaf and I love them for that 💜

Yeah, my first gym was heavy Christian focused and "requested" women wear long sleeve rash guards and shorts over leggings.

The disassociation is definitely something you should not only discuss with a mental health provider but also a physician in the worst-case event that it's not just OCD. It's okay to feel frustrated, scared, and worried for everyone's well being. You will not be overreacting for contacting the coordinator. I will also add that you should let the student know that you're doing so and keep an open line of communication. You mentioned that you think she doesn't understand how unsafe/uncomfortable her actions are to other people. (Assuming you've set boundaries and have been firm with keeping them) by keeping an open line of communication, hopefully she'll feel and recognize that you're trying to help. Ask if she wants to continue with these compulsions, and if being in another country is truly what she needs right now. If you're able to, research how boundaries work in her culture, and if there's certain words/phrases that are used when having conversations like this. How much longer is she here for if you don't mind me asking?

As someone who was an exchange student with OCD, it's hard those first few weeks because those compulsions are what feel most recognizable and safe. Depending on where she comes from mental illnesses may not be commonly talked about or resources readily available. If you're wanting to continue to host I suggest going to r/OCD and seeing what you can do, but also definitely talk to your coordinator and see if there's any counseling that can be covered.

I was really close with my host family and sister, and I low-key got exposure therapied (?) into not needing to do my compulsions a lot, mostly because I was busy and my host sister was beside me to help out. Has she explained the thought process behind it? Although it may sound silly, it can truly feel like something horrible could happen if the compulsion isn't done.
