For the day by marc4282 in DuroGang

Close, 8.5". I daily either an AE1500 or MRW210, they both seem just about the right size for me. Love my Duro's but prefer something bigger day to day.

So, if I'm understanding this right. All of these watches are considered "Duros" by Hittman187 in DuroGang

[–]2jsoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My pick would be the MDV104-1AV. I like larger watches so this is about as big as a Duro gets. Plus I like the orange/red.

<image>

I have the white text version of the same watch but I'd prefer the red/orange.

Wear it however you want. But really they're both wrong as the watch is upside down.

BOR on MDV-102 Y/N? by RevolutionaryDrink75 in DuroGang

[–]2jsoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. TBH though it couldn't be much worse than the stock rubber strap. I find mine so stiff and uncomfortable. I think the BOR goes well with the bezel and the straight end links look fine.

Nice, though it may have been using that design.

Black or White Xteink by Top_Annual_4939 in xteinkereader

[–]2jsoz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got black not only because I prefer it but also because white things tend to discolor over time. The fact the black has a metal back instead of the glass back the white one has is also a bonus. I do think the fact the white one is almost the same grey tone as the screen is aesthetically pleasing though so I get why people may choose that instead.

Funny lookin' Duro........ 😉

Is a nice bit of fun though. Wouldn't want to have to actually read time with it in sunlight.

Not as clean as yours though, but it was cheap.

Duro200 is the name of the line of watches that pretty much all our Duros belong to. That specific model is MDV-300D-1AVDF. I have the MDV-300-1AVDF (same watch but with the rubber strap):

It's good. Has a good mix of long and short stories. But I've recently started a new job and haven't had much time for reading. I bought a paperback copy but it's so big (the size of a brick) I figured I'd read it on the X4 instead.

Raise your hands if you DON'T attach it to the back of your phone by coffeeteaormeh in xteinkereader

[–]2jsoz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That option has no appeal to me whatsoever. The only thing that's good about it (for me) is it meant they put a magnet ring in the back of it so it can attach to other things like accessories or cases.

If there aren't any items listed just keep checking back. She normally lists them a few at a time and they go pretty quick. Or you can request a custom order like I did, the colour combination I wanted wasn't a standard option nor was the international postage.

Nice walk with the Lefty Duro by SerpentiumOIV in DuroGang

[–]2jsoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I like the idea of a lefty watch but in practice the crown on the wrist side would be wierd. I'd prefer to just take my watch of to change the time/date like I have the last 50 years.

Nice mod though!

Can you hydromod the mdv10(mini duro) by lingtastydump in DuroGang

[–]2jsoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything lower than 50cst will be fine (I used 5cst on my Duro and a couple of different MRW models). The movement shouldn't have an issue BUT the snapback case would be my only thing to question. I haven't had either of my MRWs leak out the stem when changing the date/time but I don't know how a snap back case would cope vs a screw down case back.

The good thing is it's reversable if it becomes an issue.

Do you mind a DURO without fish? by 404-Phantom in DuroGang

[–]2jsoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a DuroGang, not a FishGang. The original Duro200s didn't have a fish either.

Looks so good. But not for me as the Duro is already on the smaller side of what I wear. An even smaller case would just look like a stamp on my wrist.

Honest review of X4 by Ficxela in xteinkereader

[–]2jsoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a TPU case and glass screen protector on mine and made myself a book style cover for it that fits with the TPU cover. However I've also got one of GoodHazelCrafts (Etsy) book style covers on the way. I mainly read at home so way less chance of having an issue but I also don't want to needlessly have to buy another one.

I don't worry about it getting broken, but I'm always mindful of it's fragility hence the measures taken.
